I believe they are looking to let their people know when I am home. Here is a hint when they call pick up the phone and hit # as quick and often as you can. This messes with their automated system and removes your number from their list.

They just called me.  Before I could get "please take me off your calling list..." the guy hung up on me.  I found their main office numbers on their website (quite easily in fact).  Here they are:

If you call any of those numbers, they WILL and MUST take you off all their calling lists for all their clients.

I called this number and asked them to quit calling(617) 292-7700.  The man who answered pleasantly agreed to remove my number from the list.

They asked for someone in my household by name and said they were calling from a civil rights group. I asked which civil rights group and they said they would call back later, then hung up.

They called but didn't leave a message.

called several times in the past few days....rings 2-3 times and they hang up  i am on the do not call registry

Telefund has called repeatedly for the past week. Since I only answer for people I know I never pick up when they call. Knowing who and what they are only makes me more irritated.

It comes up unavailable.  I did an MSN search and found this list.  Non-profit organizations do not qualify under the Do Not Call List restrictions.  If you are on the Do Not Call list (like I am), there is nothing that can be done.

These people call twice a day (6172927701) I answered once & they ask for my husband & they said they would call back.  I no longer answer & they hang up after 2-3 rings.  I also have turned off my answering machine which answers after 4 rings & let it go into my voice mail.  Since it is set for 6 rings lots of people will hang up by the sixth ring & I can check once a day for any necessary calls & I do not have to listen to any unwanted messages they might leave on my answering machine. I have a son with collection problems (not living here) & they were harassing us with messages on the machine every day as well as another son (because we are listed in the phone book) but do not leave any messagenow that it is in the voice mail.

I get several calls a day from this number.  I don't answer and they don't leave a message.

Very ,very weird . Whoever it is just started calling me a few weeks ago and I always get the 2 calls a day as stated by others . Today it was 12:35 and 4:40.No messages and no one there if I answer. What could possibly be the point other than annoyance?

They just started calling me.  The caller id seems to change based on the previous reports.  They don't seem to want to actually speak to anyone. Very suspicious don't you think? Most people being called seem to be progressives.  Maybe it's our protective Homeland Security, tracking progressives to protect the non-progressives.

Yes, its Telefund as noted by a previous member.  There web-site is http: www.telefund.com/home.html.  I went to their web-site.  Apparently, they act as a telephone fund solicitation agency representing many liberal and progressive groups.  I got their e-mail from their web-site, info@telefund.com, and requested that they stop calling me.
