“Hi yes this is Charlotte my phone number is 225-229-0920 please give me a call thank you…”  that sounds like spam to me. Why wouldn’t you say where you wrrecalling from?

Received a call today.  Phone ID: "Amazon Service".  Man asked for my husband (by name) regarding an unfavorable rating that husband left for recent order.  Caller knew what was in the shipment.  Offered a refund if husband would remove the unfavorable rating.  Husband said, "I'll remove the rating when I get the refund."  He did not give caller any credit card info. So we will see!

Hello (my correct name)  calling regarding (garbled) Amazon. According to the tracking number the packaged arrived at Greenville Post Office on October 4th. (The rest of the message is completely garbled with the exception of) contact Amazon for more information.
I even went to the post office and they thought I was nuts. But I can't for the life of me figure out what they get out of this scam. I did not order anything from Amazon on that date nor have I ordered anything that I haven't received. This sure feels like fraud. The garbled message, accents, words used and syntax are all wrong.

This is a legit number from Amazon shipper, the phone number is likely just a number multiple shippers are routed through . Called me yesterday and left message about tub I ordered and they needed contact info. I called back at the different number the caller left. I also received email from company via Amazon that they were trying to reach me.

Thanks to all who responded. Since there wasn't consensus here on whether or not this call is legit, I contacted Amazon customer service directly to ask if this was one of their numbers.

This number has called here two days in a row & left no message. Yesterday the CID showed it as La Puente California, today the same number showed as "Amazon Service". I searched the number at my favorite phone number tracing site, & it said it belonged to "Bethlehem Handi" - I assume this was all that would fit of the name on CID.  I learned from google that there is a religious knick-knack seller called Bethlehem Handicrafts, perhaps this is it. Regardless, that was sketchy enough for me to contact Amazon.

The Amazon customer service associate with whom I chatted suggested the call might be spam. He said while there might be occasions when the company would make outbound calls to customers, it is not likely & to be safe never give out your password, email banking & credit card info etc over the phone (this is good advice anyway.) I figured Amazon has always used email to contact us. If it's important they certainly know how to get us that way - it certainly would be faster & less labor intensive than calling every day on the off chance somebody picks up -  so I went ahead and blocked the number. Couldn't have been too important anyway if they don't leave any messages, right?

Remember, virtually everyone these days has pending Amazon deliveries they are waiting for, so if this is a scam it sure would be an easy one to pull off. Just play it safe & never give out ANY info on the phone even if they claim to be your mother. If you're a customer, Amazon already has all the info they need for you, and 3rd party sellers have no right to it, not least of all because they can't give assurance that your info will be safely handled.

This number called me at 9:30 PM claiming to be Amazon. They said my order was delayed because of Black Friday and they wanted to offer me a free gift. I honestly couldn’t understand half the things this woman was saying. Even though I did order something from Amazon I found it really weird because I had a family member order it for me from their account. It all seemed really sketchy so I hung up.

This number called me two times this morning regarding a guitar case I ordered the previous night late. Didn't leave no message the first time. Called back right after and left a message saying that the guitar case I had ordered wasn't in stock and wanted to know if I would upgrade at no extra cost to me for a better case. Asked me to call them back at a number that was not the number they were calling from. Looked at my info from my Amazon order right after and package already says shipped. Pretty sure is a scam.

This is a call from Amazon Logistics Service. It is to confirm a shipping delivery. I was given another number to call back for XPO Logistics, the company Amazon stated would be delivering my order. A delivery time was arranged.

I use Amazon often and have NEVER had a call confirming an order or its delivery.  I highly doubt you got a call and "arranged" any delivery, as that should have been established when placing an order. Besides, the Amazon Logistics Service is not for the consumers who ordered something, it is for the businesses that use Amazon to sell and deliver.

Clearly you are lying.  If what you said were actually true there would be not one single reason for you to take the time to look the number up after the call.

Number was the Amazon Freight Service trying to schedule a delivery for a large item I ordered.

I received a voice-mail from this number. It says on caller ID Amazon Ordr Info.It was an Asian woman regarding an order I received today, asking me to call back. Her English was very poor. Scam? I won't call back.
