I'm geting 2 to 3 calls a day and they will not stop.  My daughter has stage 4 melonoma and these calls are very distressing.  This morning she had brain surgery at MD Anderson and these monsters tied up our phone with there sales calls.  I'm 73 and in our distressed state we are very upset that we cannot get them to stop.  Can these people be sued?  Who are they?

What good is the Federal Do Not Call List if it does not deter telemarketing phone calls!?!  I'm registered on the list, and it's a cell phone.  I've filed MANY complaints!  And still getting calls!

call me on a do not call line, robo call to sell some kind of security system.  My assumption is they are the crooks they are offering protection from.

They called and machine voice said "Do not hang up, congratulations....".  Of course I hung up right away and blocked their number.  Next time they call, my phone will ring once and disconnect automatically.   I just love my phone with BLOCK feature.  My recommendation to you all, get a phone that has an option to block unwanted calls.  Works like charm.

I got a call from 631-482-3381 at 1:49 pm on August 2, 1012.  I did not pick up the phone and they did not leave a message so I am assuming it was a telemarketing call.  I am on the federal Do Not Call list.  My caller ID said, "New York".  I do not recognise this phone number.

3rd call today - all for security - Did not answer any of them so they are using different numbers all the same company.  Received calls today from 631-482-3381, 206-496-0929, 425-390-8120.  I keep blocking each number and they keep calling back under a different number.  I have reported them to the FTC in state of Washington because I have gotten calls from at least 5 other numbers they are using and the FTC states they can't do anything because these are spoofed calls and they don't know where they are originating from.

This call went to voicemail, and i have a digital file of the message.  i registered a complaint with the donotcall registry, but also here:  http://www.fcc.gov/complaints  where i was able to attach a copy of the voicemail recording.

Have received 6 messages so far (about 2 times per day). No message left on the answering machine, which means its obviously a telemarketer with automatic dialing. I'm on the federal DO NOT CALL list, which is now CLOSE TO USELESS as more and more telemarketers (NOT charities or political/government callers) have been brazenly using numbers which are on this list.

This is an outgoing call number only - it does not accept incoming calls.

Recorded msg trying to interest us in a home alarm system. Said we would be taken off call list if we pressed 2....we'll see. We've gotten calls from various numbers about alarm systems and why should we have to ask them to take us off the list if we're on the DNC list??!

Answered this number and a male voice said "don't hang up your house has been selected"...I hung up.

The alarm company that calls from 631-482-3381is an ADT reseller named Alliance Security Systems. I've received calls from another ADT distributor at 305-587-2137. Call Erica Mitchell at ADT headquarters - 866-561-0952 X24743 - to report unsolicited calls from their distributors,

Do not answer unknown numbers if you don't have to! Don't press any thing on their automated systems it just lets 'Them' know they have a live number to sell and you'll get more calls not less! At least that's what the news segment said. If you answer and hear someone, something anything and don't like what you hear - just hang up. This number called this morning as well as an unlisted cell number from Georgia. Last eve I had an interesting caller ID: 000-000-0000 Now you know that's got to be fishy!

Repeat: Just hang up if you have to answer calls if you don't have a caller ID system. Get caller ID if you can. I've got an answering machine where I can listen to messages as they are being left. Not a 'service' where I can't access calls until they are made.  

Looks like Miata Man has some good info. No use to grumble. Call Erica or just ignore callers.
Remember a telephone is a tool. If it's yours you have a choice to use it, and one choice is not to answer it if you think the call is suspect. Good Luck.

WHEN I RECEIVE UNWANTED (DO NOT KNOW WHO THEY ARE)...I JUST CLICK IT ON THEN OFF.  SEEMS I RECEIVE SEVERAL UNWANTED CALLS EVERY DAY FROM DIFFERENT NUMBERS.  GUESS THERE IS NO WAY ONE CAN KEEP THEM FROM CALLING.

Robocall saying, "Do not hang up. You have been selected to receive a free General Electric home security system."  That's when I hung up. Caller ID said New York.  Probably a scam.
