calls from this number  -  unknown caller.  Called back and there was a dead line

Called today at 3:00 PM a mans voice, obviously recorded, said Dont hang up you have been selected to get a free GE home security system. Of course I hung up. dont ever give info if you do or do not have a security system.

And I was doing so good!  Last month I only received 5 calls from marketeers.  New Month, New Batch of annoying calls.  A word to the wise, contact your bank to find out their Privacy Policy and tell them not to share your info with anybody.  Also get your credit reports.  You'd be surprise how our info gets used.  The credit report will sometimes show who's been inquiring.  Many years ago, I was getting over a hundred catalogs a week.  A credit report showed a couple of marketing companies that I had no clue that the were getting my mailing info.  I contacted them and put a stop to them using my info.  Privacy policies and the DNCR are worthless as they are and need a total overhaul.

Everyone reading this who needs to stop this incessant invasion of privacy needs only one thing.
It's called "Telebouncer". I'm not gonna try to sell it on here, just find it on Amazon and read the reviews.
I got mine 3 years ago. Changed my life. Trouble now is the price has more than doubled (but don't let that stop you since peace of mind is something that can't be bought) and it looks like
there's only 1 left. Congratulations though to whomever that last lucky person turns out to be.

I got a call from this number today - didn't answer when it came up as Babylon, NY. These calls are so annoying.

I just got a call from this #. Nobody responded when I answered (at first). A few seconds later a recording kicked in, "No *NOT* hang up. Congratulations! ..." I hung up.

Got calls last 3 days from 631 482 3381. No message left by them and I won't be answering their calls any time soon. On Do Not Call List so why are they calling ??

Got a call from this number and I'm able to block it through Verizon.  It works but it seems they just pass your number around and you start getting calls from new numbers.

I call-blocked this alarm scam company on 6/14/2012. They called again on 8/1 and 8/7. Not very bright but what scammer is?

I answered the call and pressed one to ask for my FREE alarm system, but I acted like I was Forest Gumps SLOWER sibling. I just kept saying, gimme free, gimme free, gimme free, gimme free. Figure if they can waste my time I could do the same to them. Next time I'm gonna ask "what color are your panties?".

Just got a call from this number, picked up and kept silent.  They said nothing & finally disconnected after about 10 seconds.

Nuisance call.

Been getting calls from this number, decided to answer. Got recording:"Don't hang up!! You are the lucky winner of a GE home security system!!"  Of course, I hung up and did a callback.  I got a rep on the line and asked "how do I get on your do-not-call list?"  He replied "you don't".  So I said "well I will have to report you", and hung up.

I keep getting calls from these people.  I am on the Do Not Call list; but that does not seem to matter

They call regularly.
They are selling burglar alarms and old-people-falling alarms.  They say press 2 to get on their do-not-call list.  I did that but they called back a few days later.  I pressed 1 to reach a person but he hung up on me as soon as I said I wanted to be on the do-not-call list.

Dont want telemarketing calls.  I am on the Do Not Call list.
