A man with thick foreign accent called my home and there were more voices talking in the background.  He asked me rapidly if I was on my computer and if I was having problems.  I told him no. and  heI IMMEDIATELY HUNG UP!!

I don't feel comfortable about this. He called me by my first and last name when I answered.  I am on the national and state do not call list.

On DO NOT CALL and get calls from this number.  Scammer

They keep calling me about my window system stating they is a problem and I do no have a problem.  I have told them to stop calling me and put me on their do not call list and they say they can't.

Received same call.
Definite scam.
Politicians won't help.
No agency will help.
You're on your own.
Way to stop - Hunt down and end life force.
Other than that nothing will stop these abuses.

I have been getting this call for the past week or two on our landline at home.  Usually ignore it (and, strangely this person never leaves a message on our recorder), but decided to pick it up and make sure it wasnt a call for someone by the name of Mrs. King...we get calls quite often (doctor offices, etc) asking for this woman, and she has NEVER lived at this address (and we bought our home from the original owners).  

The caller was a young male with a thick accent-obviously english was his second language.  He asked for Mrs. King and I told him to please take our name off the call list as a Mrs. King has never lived here.  More babble that I couldnt understand, then he replies that he cannot do that and proceeds to say goodbyegoodbyegoodbyegoodbye right over me trying to tell him yet again that Mrs. King doesnt live here.  Mad about him being rude, I said "whatever" and hung up on him.  

Then I called the number back, thinking he might be from a call center and the number will go thru queue to another caller where I can contact a supervisor and report his behavior (and get our number off the call list).  I dialed the 646-502-6605 that showed up on my caller ID and it just rang into oblivion...with nobody answering it.  I waited 10 minutes and tried calling back on my cell (as now I needed to leave the house for an appointment), it then had a disconnection notice...meanwhile back at our house:  my husband gets a phone call from a "private unknown" number on our caller ID on our landline.  My husband answers it and is greeted by the same male voice telling him, "you, your wife, your mother and your dad can [***] and have my sperm"...my husband replied, "you sound like a moron", and hung up on the guy.

Internet reverse search on the phone number says NY, NY...however, I wonder if he has some software that cloaks his actual location...is he even calling from the US?

Would REALLY like to NOT have to be harrassed at home (from the posts so many other are too)...somebody PLEASE silence this guy.

Received call from this no. with Private Name shown as ID at 5:28 this evening.  Ignored and let recorder answer and caller hung up.

It's best to not even answer the phone from this guy. I answered a while back (after he called from a different number) and he fed me the same line that he fed to the other posters on this site. He's supposedly from Windows and there's a problem with my computer, and I just need to log on and follow his steps and he'd clear my computer of the viruses that he knows it has.

I happened to be online at the time, so I Googled the phone number and read about his scheme while he lied to me over the phone. I told him that I did not have Windows, and he called me a liar and said that I am on record as having Windows. I asked, "Do you even know who it is you're talking to?" He said yes, and then called me by my sister's name.

As a little bit of clarification, I am a male with a very male-sounding voice, and my sister's name is a very feminine-sounding name. There is no way this guy should have mistaken me for my sister. On top of that, my sister only briefly lived with me for a very short period of time about a decade ago. During that short time she was staying with me, she may or may not have had Windows.

Anyway, I called the guy out on his lies and then he got angry and threatened to kill me. He even told me to look outside because there was supposed to be two of his associates outside waiting to come in and murder me and my family after raping my wife and kids. I laughed at the guy, we exchanged some angry words, and I eventually hung up on him. He called back a few times, which I did not answer, and then I blocked his number (an easy option with Comcast).

Long story short, there is no way this guy would make the threats he does from within the United States. Even these verbal threats can be investigated by law enforcement. I have no doubt the guy is using some fancy phone tricks to call from outside the United States. I have heard that he also has a female accomplice, also with a thick accent, who is just as rude and threatening as he is.

My advice is to never answer the phone from numbers you do not recognize. If it's important, they'll leave a message (or send you a letter through the mail). If they constantly call with no messages left, block them. They'll eventually move on to an easier target.

I am a social worker working with senior citizens. The person calling from this number has been calling some of my clients every day, trying to scam them. They tell them that there is a terrible problem with their computer and try to make them go to the computer to "fix" it, when they are actually trying to access this account. DO NOT RESPOND TO THIS CALLER.

Same description as above. Always a male with a thick accent claiming I'm have Window problem with my computer. When I start trying to get some info out of him he always hangs up. These calls started about a week after I did have Window problems but we solved by HP. Don't know if HP knows anything about this but they all seem to have the same accent. Today when the "mystery accent" called it had been several months since the last time. Whomever this guy is he's a con artist. Beware!

Received a call from this number from a lady who claimed I had a virus told me to log onto my computer and go to start menu, minimize all icons. I knew something was wrong and disconnected my pc and shut it down. When she asked me what I see, I told her nothing. She said ok and hung up. I put the phone number in google and found this site. She did not give her name or the company they are calling from. She was fast talking telling me that I had a virus and to start minimizing my icons.Please beware.

I do not want any of these scam calls.  I have caller I'd and will not answe but they are very annoying!

Today I received call from this # and asking for me: My answer was: "wrong number "

I just received the same call from this number and I just told him I didn't know what he was talking about, but he was asking me if I was the owner of the computer with MS Operating System installed on it.  I hung up on him and acted like I didn't know what he was talking about.  He call me by name and I think that is scary!

claimed to be in india and named "Ron Wilson" - i rambled on and on, got him to talk a bit he said real name is Santi and he is 24. finally i got bored playing him and asked did he realize i was just keeping him on the phone to waste his time? that i know that he knows he works for thieves. haha he hung up no call back. yet.

Got a call from him today. Called me Mrs. "my husband's last name", which i am not known by anywhere. Also tried to tell me it was a courtesy check for my Windows computer. I told him that I didn't have one and he said good bye and disconnected.

I received two calls from 646-502-6605 - Indian man named "Brian" (yeah, right).  He rambled on about my "new" computer and MS operating system.  I informed him I was on the Do Not Call list, and he kept on trying to press for information.  I hung up on him.  He had the NERVE to call back and start cursing at me!  Going to report him to Federal agencies.

Also got a call today. I will block that number & you an do the same
