This *is* Facebook's auto-call that confirms your details with a recorded message, giving you a code to enter to verify your identity. If you set up a business page or something similar, you are required to verify your identity. If you received a call and didn't set a page up, it's likely that someone entered a wrong number on Facebook by mistake.

If you are getting a call from this number that isn't related to Facebook, then yes, someone is spoofing the number and scamming you.

Were you trying to sign into your Facebook at the moment of the call? I get an automatic call from FB (coming from this number) whenever i try to sign in my FB from a new computer or after i cleared the history. If you weren't signing in, someone else might have been trying to break into your acct

This was a message from FACEBOOK verifying they have determined I am who I say I am in order to verify my facebook business page.  I requested the verification.

This number is not affiliated with facebook, it's a scam being run through a freetexting app that makes it appear to be in california but is really being run from india.

It's not really facebook its people pretending to be facebook. It's being done through a free texting app.

This number IS actually affiliated with Facebook.  They call from this number to provide you with a 4-digit code used to verify Facebook page account. I was verifying a page account, gave my phone number, hit submit and it called instantly with the code to enter on my account.

I know this is way after the fact and therefore I am only hoping that you have learned how to regenerate the brain cells you burnt while smoking the weed you were illegally purchasing.  ASIDE from your obvious failure to think before typing....the comments that you had made regarding that phone number were apparently a symptom of the high you were stumbling through while typing that response.  Due to the fact that the phone number is related to Facebook and they are typically calling you because you had requested access to a security feature of their site that requires a pin.  I run a small business and that is the number FB called from to give my my PIN # to access company blogs.  Good luck with...whatever it is that you will need to join us here on Earth.

I have had my number since the days phones were mounted in cars. I have never had a FB account and don't plan on it.  Although it may be possible that I received these calls due to a mix up in phone numbers, I'm inclined to believe that this is a scam.  If someone had entered a wrong number, I can't imagine it would take too long for them to realize it and correct the mistake. Especially if they need to be receiving this call to verify their account!  I don't answer numbers I don't recognize... If it's important they will leave a message. I will just block the number!
