So you claim you knew who called and what they wanted, yet you looked up the number anyway?  Now why would you do that?  Why would Facebook be calling you, why would they be calling at this time in the morning?  It is certainly too late for you to pass your scam post test, because it looks to me as if you have failed miserably.

Okay so this number called me three times and texted me through instragam's number 3 times with some code. It also left me 3 voicemails (all this was at the same time, 2:40AM?!) and then the next day the left the same voicemail at 5AM. Its creeping me out honestly

(650) 285-1001 is, in fact, the number from which you will receive a confirmation call when you verify a Facebook Business Page. I just did that last night and I received a call from this number. I entered the code I was given and my FB page is now verified. I'm sure BigA will want to know why I am looking the number up today, so here it is. I just saw the number in my Skype listings from yesterday and I didn't remember who belonged to that particular number. Now I can add Facebook to the profile for that number in my Skype and I won't have to come back and look up this number anymore. Oh, and for those of you who receive a call from this number but are not trying to verify a Facebook page - someone is trying to verify a page that has your number associated with it. They will eventually figure it out and you shouldn't receive any more calls. Unfortunately, some folks are a little dense, technically, and it may take them awhile to figure out why they are not getting their requested calls. :-\

Living in France, I had a call one hour after someone tried to reinit my FB password.

I now believe this is facebook because I too just did a password reset and asked them to text me a code. I got a text and the phone call at the same time, although I didn't answer the call because I did not recognize the number.

Someone tried to reset my fb password...i got various  2-step verification texts (in Spanish). Then a call from this number. I believe Someones trying to access my acct. And couldnt. [***] hackers scammers and frauds. I dont even care about fakebook that much. Wil follow up and report to fakebook so they can... Do nothing about it and keep selling my info... [***] fakebook. The interesting thing about these hackers was that when I added a Facebook app to my phone they automatically started hacking my FB app.

Is it really Facebook? I had just received a text confirmation # from them to sign into my account.. I didn't answer because it looked suspicious... 10:40 at night.. Facebook would make sense, but others are saying it is a scam.. Thanks for clarifying.. ( Facebook should have their name in caller i.d. just say'n! )

Received 3 calls (2:27am, 2:24am, 2:18am) in the middle of the night. No message.

call at 3:50 a.m. VERY UNWELCOMED! They said it was from Facebook. I hung up.
