Facebook scam. Got several texts with same message about "your Facebook number is" with a 5 digit number, and a call at 1:30 am.  I'd guess it us a setup for an upcoming attempt to gain access to some type of account with the code. I even blocked the texts and still got them.

Has to be a scam. I never made any changes requiring verification,  and if it was FB, they would never send repeated calls and texts at random hours of the night.

This is probably a spam call trying to gain access to your account.  Problem is, never had it, never will (FB) so it makes this kind of fraud obvious.  I say let's hunt these [***] down and make sure they can't do it anymore.

Facebook called me to verify my page. But it will only call the business that i contract for and not my cell phone.

They send you a code to verify your account if you have a business page.

I had to instigate my call and they called in five seconds

Leaves msg, only part records, something about control #'s.
Called at 3:52 a.m., again at 7:00 a.m., as well as other times during the day.  Defintely a scam of some sort.

Stop the scam calls.

This number called me at 7 am Central time from a California number, which I knew their time would be 5 am. Didn't answer it. It was recorded message saying my "access code was..." giving a 5 digit number. At the same time, I received a text saying the same verification access code to TikTok for Facebook. I've never used TikTok and I don't let ANY apps have access to my facebook acct.

I've been getting random texts from what appears to be Google Voice numbers (more than 10) and random access codes from what appear to be valid short codes - got one from a short code that appears to be facebook with access codes, followed by one that is unregistered, followed by one from "My Travel Scoop" - then I get a call from 650 285-1001 - I let it go unanswered .

My phone was quiet since July and then this started last week and now I'm being attacked again. I'm thinking this started up again after I requested a quote for tires on a local companies web-site. I'm so disgusted at this point.

That makes sense, because I had just changed my password and updated my security on Facebook about an hour before.  I am still not happy that they called at almost mid-night.
