Had nothing to do with face book, when I got called..some scammers are piggy backing legit numbers as a way to keep FTC from blocking or prosecuting.

The call is from facebook. If you don't have a facebook account, then someone is using your phone number to create one. DUH. If you do have a FB account then someone you know (maybe yourself and you don't remember) is trying to access your FB account. It's that simple. All this "making me uneasy" and "I don't believe it's from FB" stuff is silly.

Missed the call

I joined Facebook only because of the mobile version of the game "Wormix" to add friends on the game in your team. Very suspicious! When registered on Facebooke: then came the CONFIRMATION message via your fixed phone number, but not for a password RESET. Maybe someone tried to hack my page!!!

You would only get notice of a password reset as far as I've seen via email. Probably a scammer sending out messages to try and get your password so they can use your account for spamming crap links

650-285-1001 spam call.they sent me a verification code for my facebook so they've hack my acct

Deloris, read my comment to Vladimir. They have NOT hacked your account-it's fake to get you to go to a link so they CAN. If someone ACTUALLY tried to hack your account, you would have gotten an email.

I'm from New Zealand and I also got a call from them at around the same time

They called me at like 12:35am and I got left with a voice message but I don't have any credit to ring up my voice message to listen to it. Idk who it is and idc, I'm blocking the number. Especially because this number is from usa and I live in nz

12/10/17 - 0700 - Called, left 5 digit # on vm.  I have no account w/facebook.  Why call me?  How to prevent future calls?

They called twice at 3 am with this message with a verification code. Who calls at 3 am unless its an emergency??? I was disturbing. I thought something happened to a family member!!!!

It's not Facebook.
I tried on a new device to login my Facebook and ask for the verification code. Facebook just text me, without calling me or leaving me voice message. I guess this one is actually not from Facebook.
