Call received on cellphone from 661-380-3000.   It was spouse calling from Ireland using Skype.

This is a Skype number, which means anyone, anywhere in the world can be calling using this number (Skype users can pay extra for a specific number if they choose), all they need is a computer.

It might be a scam, it might be legit.  Obviously if you have family overseas traveling or military, you should probably answer, if not, you are probably getting cold called by one of many scams.

If I get another one of these calls I will have to block it...

I received a call this evening from the 661-380-3000 number and it was a friend calling from S. Africa on Skype.

My friend Gina has gotten calls from this number saying I see you and stuff and she doesnt know who it is.Im just trying to help her stop them and atleast try and figure out who it is.

I just recieved a call from this number. Not only do I not know anyone in the military, I heard a pre-recorded message saying that my computer protection service has expired. I immediately hung up the phone so I didn't hear the entire message. I don't doubt that this number is sometimes legitimate, but it IS also being used as part of a scam.

I just missed a call from 661 380 3000. They left no voice message but they sent me two text messages within a couple of minutes of the call. They claim to be two Norwegian interns looking for a place to stay for one year and they want to view the place sometime this weekend. ( I have a place for rent on Craigslist). I think it is fraud. Why would they be calling from such an odd or skype number if they are here in town looking at places?

I just had this number call me and like it was a chipmunk voice and a noise that sounded like a bee buzzing?? I dont know who it was and I would like to know.

i have been called by this # 4 times i answered and said who is this they said who is this and i said gina now who is this and they said im watching u 4 time then i hung up. then when i was camping i was about to go through a haunted trail with my friends and i dnt hear my phone go of and he called me 2 twice and left a message saying im watching u really fast i dnt now who this is but im sick of it he always calls me around 10 or past 10

I got a call from this number, allegedly from Direct TV to verify my installation info. They also wanted my credit card number so they could put a $21 credit on my account. I refused and then called Direct TV to verify. They said the call didn't originate from them and that I did the right thing by not giving them my card number. The scary thing is that these people had my correct Direct TV account number and installation date. Maybe my email was hacked?

Got a call from a chinese woman asking if I recieved my package yet. I told her that i had fraudulant charges on my bank account and she didn't understand. I told her is was 4 in the morning and i was sleeping and she said sorry but i know its 4 in the USA but in china its such time i dont know if the calls get routed through the US or not

tell ya what, if someones too cheap to get a real phone to call ya they a fool.... skype is a joke unless your overseas trying to save a buck, but then again why not just email?

This is a MAJOR SCAM!  It's a bogus automated message calling itself an "automated alert" supposedly letting you know that your computer virus protection is not working and you must log into a website in order to "repair" it!  AS IF!

This was strange a man called asking me about eye cream from Mary kay which is the company I have sold with in the past. He asked me several questions bout it and then hung up. The call seemed odd and not like a normal customer so I checked it out and found this site. Very odd.

That's all fine and well when it is someone you know or expect to call. It is not ok for people to be using skype just so that they can scam you. Too many times this is the same number being used for that as well.
