It's someone calling using Skype. Whenever family in other states and over seas call me, this is the number that registers on my phone regardless of where they are when they call.

I also received a call from this number on my cell phone just today.  He spoke very broken English and said he was calling me to help me with my Outlook email problem.

Do not know, but adding this number to my blocked callers list. Google Voice rocks!

received call at 1:38 from this number they didn't leave a massage....i have to say it is wednesday April 18

I cot a call from an 'unknown number' from a man trying to convince me the government wanted to give me $6000 for paying my taxes on time a few years in a row, and asking me for my drivers license number, address, or any other kind of identifying information.  I said no thanks and have a nice day and hung up, and he called me back using this number asking why I hung up on him!  I got another call from the same number the following day and now I've blocked it.  It sounded like he was calling from a call center.  A scam call.

I just got the exact same call they want me to go Lake Geneva, Wisconsin to claim my prizes!!!! Scam I think!!!!!

that number called at 12:30 am and then again at 12:31 and it was a man giving me my name and said UPS will be at my house to pick up some packages. He said he is in New Haven Conn. and wants me to have the packages ready for him. The first call I hung up on him and the second time he left a voice mail.

some gay dating service calls me at 1:00 A.M. looking for a guy named pete from this number daily.What the f---.

It was a reminder call about my scheduled Super Shuttle ride to the airport and I received the call during regular business hours.

My office phone rang at 12:15, with unknown caller, I did not answer it.  Then immediately after that stopped, my cell phone range with this number 661-380-3000, and I did not answer it either.

It is from a skype account.

A gentleman with a thick foreign accent called and left a voicemail.  Couldn't make out the name of his company after listening twice.  His company is trying to sell web site optimizer services. He referred to my website and said that he didn't find it when typing in keywords.  DUH!  He's in freaking California  and I'm in upstate New York.

Whatever happened to the "do not call list" ?

After reading all of the posts, it seems that this is a "for rent" number to show on caller ID's with many different scam companies using its services, many of them undoubtedly from overseas.  Very much like getting a call from  "000 000 0000"

This number is connected to skype call forwarding...so its a person who uses skype to call your pc or your phone. Its a generic number that is not directly connected to a user.

I rec'd a call from this phone number and the guy kept saying I called him ..... But I didn't ...... How can I block the number ?

The system assigns this number as the default caller ID if the Skype user does not set up their own number.  I don't think Skype does a very good job of making their users aware of this.

Again, the caller is saving money by calling via Skype.  This is the default caller ID.  If the user doesn't know to set up their own callback number (or other caller ID), then this number will be displayed.  It doesn't mean that they are in Bakersfield, CA.  It's just a CA number that Skype uses.

THIS IS A SKYPE CALL!!!  Skype has a service that you can subscribe to if you want to use Skype to place a call to someone.  It could be a service member or anyone else who is traveling.

I got multiple calls from this number. I believe it was indeed a Skype call from Brazil, but for some reason the party on the other end couldn't make himself heard.
