I googled support for aol and this number showed up, however when the agent answered the call the agent said "Thanks for calling aol Tech support how may I help you". I begain to explain that I was having a problem connecting to AIM. The tech support than aske if I was black? I asked "what does that have to do with any thing"? The tech support went on to say "I will call you back". I asked" how could you call me back when you dont have any of my information"? He then said look [***] shut your black ass up I then asked the tech "what did you say" he then repeated  himself over and over again. Really rude. I hung up after listening to the tech call me names for three or four min. To my surprise I got a phone call back from 661-380-3000 saying that he was the supervisor and that he had fired the tech support and his family,he was aware that I had been spoken to in a wrong way, but not to worry I want have that problem again, I know I want because I will never call that number again and at this point I will not use aol for any thing. I finally contacted aol home office and was told that infact that that company was a third party tech support. I think aol needs to be more aware of who they hire. I am now looking futher into this information.

I recieved a call from this number last night at 8:55 according to my Voicemail(I didnt recieve it till 1130PM because my phone was dead) When i pluged my phone in and turned it on I saw that i had a voicemail but no missed calls. I listened to the voicemail and was disgusted and sickened to my stomach when I heard a younger males voice tells me...."I found your cat cuddles(whom is missing and we have posted on craigslist) but the only problem is, is I'm into beastiality and I'm [***] your cat, well im going to be. And he is going to be meowing all night long meow meow meow meow meow." then the call ended. the only way i was able to find out the number from which this call originated was by listening to the envelope information to the voicemail. I was sick to my stomach that someone would do that and I'm still sick to my stomach! My kids really miss there kitty and for whom ever the punk as prankster was that did this, you disgust me!.

You are missing the big picture Helen.  The phone number is associated with Skype users.  This means that when anyone calls your phone via Skype, that number will show up.  It may be someone you know calling, it may be an accidental misdial, or it may be a scammer.  Unless you are 100% positive that no you know will ever call you via Skype, you may want to answer the phone.

this is a phone card number used to reach me about an ebay sale and purchase.It is lagit.

Definitely SKYPE.  I just called to get my mobile VM from skype and the number that shows up on my mobile is 661-380-3000.  So it could be any skype user calling you.

Did not answer...masking numbers...

I just got a call from the 661 380 3000 number. The 661 area code is Palmdale CA. What was strange was I just called a relative in Palmdale not 5 minutes before this call. However, the male voice had such a heavy accent and the call reception was very poor. The guy told me he was calling on behalf of applying for something at Walmart and wanted my information to confirm it.....As far as scams goes, I figured this one was a bit over obvious and he was eating up my cell phone minutes so I hung up. When I did, he called back 30 seconds later but he didn't leave a message.

So with the other posts I'm reading, I'm wondering if maybe it is a skype thing and the scammers/jokesters figured out a way to call without the phone number being traced.

I got a call from the number 661 380 3000 and it was supposed to be a international phone call and cricket is not set up for international phone calls she claims to be marta from russia and we have been sending each other emails for almost a year and she is supposed to move out here so we married and maybe even marry.But according to my computer this number she called from is not russia.It is a javier gandarillas of bakersfield california

Must be some kind of freak & has nothing better to do... If it keeps on I will try & have him it's a him who calls & have him arrested for phone harassment, fraud & attemping to get people's identity plus I can find alot of other things to add to him he needs to be jailed for awhile then I promise he won't wanna be calling anyone........

I received a call directing me to a website for computer protection. I unfortunately didn't jot down the site. It was an automated message, repeated 3 times before hanging up.

I got two calls from this number while I was asleep so did not answer.  I will answer if I am awake though now that I have read the messages here and know it is a Skype number.  Skype is a good service and anybody can use it so we should answer the phone to see if it is a friend or not.  If it is a "business" or a "monkey business" call, there is probably some way to report it to Skype and cell phones record the time and date.  It is wise to be cautious, but foolhardy to be paranoid (and there are a lot of messages on this site that fit within the paranoid definition).

Same thing happened to me. Got 2 calls from 661-380-3000. I didn't pick up because I heard it ring while laying in bed really early in the morning. No messages left. When I called the number, heard a recording, something like, call the authorities if I suspect fraud. I recently opened a Skype acct, but never use it. I have one friend with Skype but I'm sure it's not him calling me because we talked just yesterday.

Got a call from this number while I was in Sunday School this morning.  Just cut it off while it was still ringing.  Called it back after church and it said to report this number that is was not associated with anyone. Looked on computer to see what it said about this number.  Came up as Kern Co in Calif.

Don't know this telephone number this people always call I dont know who they are
