This # shows as Bkfd Main, Ca on my bill. I never received or answered calls from them. But T-mobile charges me for their call.  It seems I can do nothing about it.

Just got a call from this number on my husbands work cell phone.  They claimed they were from the US Federal Department and that he and all of his coworkers would be receiving overpayments of taxes from the company they work for.  My husband told them to remove his number immediately...so I don't know what the details were.

What do you mean by that?  I have a fixed phone number from skype that I pay for and pay to call landlines and cell phones. You have to have a paid skype account to call landline phones and cell phones. It would not be a random number.  It is only free calling skype to skype and there is no phone number involved there.

Same thing as many have reported.  Except I have gotten to the point I don't answer numbers I don't recognize.  Reporting to the FCC is, regrettably, a waste of time.  And I say that literally as it takes quite a bit of time to fill out the 2 pages they require, and they don't even make an effort to memorize personal information to make it easy on returning logins.  And they do nothing about it.  In more than 4 years of reporting unwanted calls (I keep a log) I have never heard back of any action by them

The calls increased because telemarketers sell the phone lists they have to other jerks.
Legit businesses will stop calling because of "do-not-call" lists. But scammers don't care anyway. They are doing illegal stuff to begin with. So don't blame mother in law. It wasn't her advice, just the low life scammers who proliferate once a human voice answers a phone, they can sell that number to others of their type of business. They're like roaches, breeding in the dark.
And this number did call me too.

Listed a house for rent in northern CA.  Got a call from this number, probably Asian accent, more like Indian, asking "How many bathrooms does the house have?" Well, the details of the house was listed.  I asked "Did you read the ad?"  "Can I see the house this Sunday, I am coming from Sonoma?" "lt will be open on Sunday 1-3p, you are welcome to drop by."  "1-3? ok, I will come by".  Of course I noticed it was a scam immediately, the accent, the bathroom bit, and Sonoma?...... These guys need to be trained by their criminal teachers better.  They just won't cut it as a criminal...

Second unsolicited call in as many days. Only recent computer issue was recent call to Dell which was answered by someone in India. Bogus calls because they couldn't state what my original call regarded.  Spoke with Microsoft tech support and their first response was to call the Do Not Call number so I called back again to report. Don't understand how my unlisted number is now being called by people from India!!!

Received 2 calles today so far -8:30 AM and 9:10 AM on a Sunday morning on my DNC registered cell phone.  WTF!
They rang three times each, no message.  I have a list of over fifty telemarketers with multiple numbers that have called me on my DNC registered cell phone.  I have filed complaints and heard nothing more about it.  The Gov. DNC list is a big joke played upon everyone that signed up on it.

My mother recieved a phone call from this number this morning and the caller claimed to be her grandson, even naming him by name. It stated he had a cold and did not sound like himself, but went on to say he and a Mexican friend who was a mechanic were in Mexico on a vacation won by a radio station. He went on to tell her about how excited he knew she would be and they were in first class all the way. He said he needed a favor but not to tell his mother or father he was in Mexico. She kept telling the caller that this was not her grandson's voice and he replied using the term Grandma, which my son never calls her. The phone then was abruptly hung up. I spoke to my son a few minutes ago and he is very much here in our town and at work. The caller seemed to familiar with my family and my 86 year old mother is in a panic. She has bad eyesight and can not read ID without a magnifiying glass.

9/5/2012. Just got a call from "Mike" from England from skype number 661-748-0240. Said he'd just received a phishing scam email emanating from my website asking for his hsbc bank account number and wanted me to type a url into my computer. I refused as I felt that url may give him access to my computer and that HE may be the scammer. The url ended in ......./index.php. He identified his email as mike.j482@gmail.com, which is no doubt fake.

Anyway, seems he is a putrescent pile of scumbag vomit.
