Got a call from this number. I didn't answer. Then it called again on another line. I didn't answer. Then all of the sudden I received an unknown caller call...strange. Not really I think is a spamer scamer.

This is a Skype number.  Meaning someone is calling your phone from their Skype account, and it the call is routed through this particular number. The number is not owned by any single user but is randomly assigned from a bank of numbers Skype has.  From minute to minute this number might be used by a trusted friend calling you on Skype, or a spammer who is using Skype.  There's no telling.

This is a Skype number.  Skype uses a list of numbers that are randomly assigned to anyone making an outgoing Skype call.  It could be someone you know, but it could be a scam artist or telemarketer.

My call from this number was my daughter calling via Skype from Afghanistan.

If you don't know the person on the other end of the call, HANG UP!  I doubt that a reputable company would use Skype in this manner.

My message from this number was from a man who said "Hi my name is (couldn't understand) and I'm calling to verify your information.  Please call me back at" and then he gave me a (619) number to call.

I'm sure its skype, but I'm certainly not going to call him back.

I've been getting calls from 661-748-0240 and 661-748-0245, they always call at about 5:00 am Pacific time (when I'm asleep), never leave a voicemail, and have a california area code - if they were in california, they would know better than to call someone at 5:00 AM.  Glad this site exists to confirm that these are indeed scam numbers.

I called back and the message was "You can not call back because you're trying to reach a skype user."

THIS NUMBER ALSO KEEPS CALLING IN THE 5AM EST. DO THEY NOT KNOW THAT THIS EST TIME
SO IF IT IS 5AM EST THEY ARE CALLING FROM CALIFORNIA 3AM MY GOD !

I got a call from this number. When I asked a question he wouldnt give me answers so I mimicked him and he got mad and cussed me out lol, oh well :)

Received numerous calls from this number lately. Answered none. No messages left.

My husband received a miss phone call from his own number at 1:30am July 15.  Then at 7:30am that same morning he received a call from 661-748-0240.  Tried calling it and it says that it's a skype number. ????

they call me ask for prices for rabbits got my number from craig list i do sell rabbits but asking how they were and said to far to drive said they was hr. 5 away but from now on this call will go in my phone as a scam after read all they other  posts

At 2:15am on 07/16/12, I got a call from these nuts.  I don't answer unknown callers at that time of the morning.  Glad I didn't now..
