Right.  

Better: You WORK for them yourself and are just trying to legitimize yourself.

Nevertheless, even if it was your "daughter" who worked for them, and even if the charity is somewhat "legitimate" (meaning not an outright scam) the fact is that NSpire/Hope House harasses people constantly.  Multiple times a week and sometimes multiple times a day.

This is NOT a legitimate business practice, is extremely unethical and effectively turns huge numbers of people off from supporting your so-called "legitimate" charity work.

Just read the huge numbers of postings on this website to get an understanding of how many people hate you.  This is just a small percentage of the people, as I suspect most people don't even know about this (very valuable) web site.  A lot of people (especially elderly) don't even think to search the web for such a forum.

Is that why, in another post on this website you give out tax-id and other detailed information supposedly supporting the claim that this is a legitimate charity?

How many homeless people have this kind of detailed information on a charity that helps them?

You tipped your hand in that other post -- you work for NSpire and have a vested interest in promoting their so-called "legitimacy".

In another post, you state:

So in one post, you claim to be a former homeless "client", while in another post you admit that you are actually working for NSpire and imply you have some authority and/or responsible position with NSpire.

I know that many times people who are clients end up working for the charity, but the fact that you did not include that information in your post about being a "client" shows you are disingenuous and totally bereft of ethics.

Doug, accurate info on caller ID. I have gotten away from the big phone company and use phone.com service for my home telephone. They have a superior features including call blocking that has been great for me. So far in 2 weeks, 7 calls have now been blocked. Our phone is pretty quiet for a change. I have no attachment with phone.com, just pleasantly surprised how well it works.

My husband is recovering from an illness.  These calls became nuisances to him.  So many times a day, he was waken by these phone calls!  It drove me crazy.  This is not a proper manner for a charity to do.  I would like to donate to any other organizations but this one.  Never, Ever.

Standard 6: Board Policy on Effectiveness - Have a board policy of assessing, no less than every two years, the organization's performance and effectiveness and of determining future actions required to achieve its mission.

Nspire Outreach does not meet this Standard because:

   Its effectiveness assessment policy does not specify that this assessment will take place at least once every two years.

Standard 7: Board Approval of Written Report on Effectiveness - Submit to the organization's governing body, for its approval, a written report that outlines the results of the aforementioned performance and effectiveness assessment and recommendations for future actions.

Nspire Outreach does not meet this Standard because:

   It did not produce a written report outlining the results of its most recent effectiveness assessment.

Standard 11: Financial Statements - Make available to all, on request, complete annual financial statements prepared in accordance with generally accepted accounting principles. When total annual gross income exceeds $500,000, these statements should be audited in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards. For charities whose annual gross income is less than $500,000, a review by a certified public accountant is sufficient to meet this standard. For charities whose annual gross income is less than $250,000, an internally produced, complete financial statement is sufficient to meet this standard.

Nspire Outreach does not meet this Standard because:

   It states it does not have audited financial statements for the past fiscal year.

In addition, the BBB of Metro Atlanta, Athens & NE Georgia requested but did not receive complete information on the organization’s governance and oversight, finances, solicitation materials, annual report, and donor privacy and is unable to verify the organization's compliance with the following 12Standards for Charity Accountability: 1, 3, 4, 8, 9, 10, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, and 18.

If a person would answer I would be glad to talk to them. My problem is every time I pick the call there is a hang up and only a dial tone! Now, that is an irritation.

While it is humorous that Kennard's "church" is cold calling in Charlotte, NC for "donations" for it's Georgia based church, it is sad that people haven't allowed themselves to have a little more fun with two bit crooks.

Has nobody argued on behalf of our good reverend? It sure is surprising, given all the many good works he brings to us, such as repeated calls day noon and night pretending to be collecting for a charity when likely swapping the goods through crack money through his thrift store, or on a street corner, depending upon how desperate he is at the moment.

Nah, an argument can be made that Hitler and Satan existed as master manipulators and liars of the nth degree. Kennard is just a dork, a speed bump to easily run over. According to that report the Pastor's "compensation" is $48,000.00 but the man has a mansion here in Atlanta. All paid from this "charity".

I just started getting like 4-5 calls from them a day. Whether this "charity" is bogus or not they do not meet a lot of the standars for charitys and have a lot of Conflict of Interests as they do not disclose their earnings in a truthful way.

unwanted phone call

Calls starting again from NSpire.  And at 8:10am.  Why?  Either you're sleeping, getting ready for work or have already left.  Our case sleeping since I'd been up with my husband until 4am as he'd had a defib/pacemaker implanted that day.  At least today's call was 9:45.

Why would we give to InSpire when our city has its own homeless to help???  Answer:  We wouldn't and don't.  The little we can help goes locally.

Please stop the phone calls from expire outreach you call every day for five times a day and no one ever says anything. This is annoying and must stop.

I'm sick of those scammers calling me. I never give to anyone who has the audacity to call and annoy me. I give everything to goodwill.
