- Ellenwood| 1 replyI got a call for a clothing pickup and I called back to the caller ID no. 678 298 2073. The answering machine came on first and then someone responded and confirmed my pick up-date. Sometimes in our lives we have to take a chance. For me, this is an opportunity to give back, to help someone else and know that my clothing will be an asset for someone that may truly need help. I need a job, some money to save my home...yet millions of others in todays' economic challenges all need the same too!
Remember that Obama speaks of the reality of our times, and we are all in it together....Quit doubting and reach out, we all need HELP!- Caller: N-Spire

PLUS! If you are a non- for profit agency, why don't you have a .ORG site? What a SCAM! This will be reported to the FBI for follow up! IN THE MEAN TIME, DO NOT CONTACT US, we are on the National "DO NOT CALL REGISTRY"... CAN't wait to see your ass in COURT! YOU SCAM ARTIST! I have YOUR NUMBER DUDE!

My intention is to PROTECT victims such as my mom who got their phone call this evening...Always, Joan
If ANYONE from this frudulent COMPANY EVER calls my 86 y/o mother's house telephone again. At this time 8:45 PM on a MONDAY night and where her number is placed on a National "Do not call list"; WILL file Criminal Charges.
To have had an "agent", ( Identity witheld as evidence), call her laughing and requesting DONATIONS with little or not detail. The latter to terminate in a call that was terminated by the agent is unaccectable.
As the Guardian of my elderly mother choose to seek Legal Advise regarding this matter.
Please have you Attorney contact me via email.

Joan Joslin
Joan C. Joslin - Joan Joslin replies to JumpREPORT THEM TO THE FBI 1-800 NUMBER - they will investigate. I too have had no email response from them. THE MORE PEOPLE WHO REPORT THIS WEB SITE TO THE FBI will make them aware on the INVESTIGATIONS!
- KK| 1 replyNOTE: This reply is for Nspire (phone # 678-298-2073) NOT for phone # 678-405-2982. The phone # 678-405-2982 make be fradulent.
Nspire is a legit non-profit organization. I have donated to them twice and they always leave a receipt.
To validate that they are legit visit, please visit irs.gov.
Choose the tab that says Charities and Non profits. On the left choose "Search for Charities". Then choose "search Now". Enter their name of Nspire and the state of GA. They show up as Inspirenow Inc located in Gainesville GA.
Also, if you visit "http://www.melissadata.com/lookups/np.asp" enter their tax ID of 58-2468623 you will pull up the legal owner of the tax# Gregg Kennard. Greg is also mention on the Nspire website "http://www.nspireatlanta.com/" if you look at the tabs at the bottom.
If you link all the dots, you come up with a very LEGIT company.- Caller: Nspire
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- Not a charity replies to KKI have checked both with the IRS and GA's Secretary of State and they are not a charity. To check with GA go to https://secure.sos.state.ga.us/SBR_Weblookup_Prod/Search.aspx (where you can also file a complaint.)
To check with IRS, go to http://www.irs.gov/app/pub-78/
Just because they say they are, or even give a receipt as one person stated, does not make them a 501C3 organization. I can give you a receipt saying what you give me is tax deductible, but it doesn't make it so.
It's telling that only the IRS# is listed and not the GA charity registration #. IRS won't give info out on any organization like GA will for charities. So nice dodge to say here is my IRS#. - Under IRS and State investigation replies to gregg kennard nspire atlantaThis a BOGUS organization. Gregg Kennard claims to be non-profit and gives "his" tax ID. The ID he gives is for a church and not for Nspire. IRS has confirmed this is criminal and that it violates the 501c3 status of the church. The State of Georgia has confirmed over 150 complaints against this organization and that they have already shut it down once and are in the process of doing it again.
Don't believe me, but verify yourselves. Call IRS at 877-829-5500 and give the ID# that Kennard gives (58-2468623) and ask if Nspire is non-profit.
Call the State of Georgia at 404-656-3920 and asked about Nspire and Clothing Pickup.
It takes a bit of doing to make the linkage, but the news story at http://community.myfoxatlanta.com/blogs/RandyTravis/2007/5 is for this organization. Nspire's location is off Pleasant Hill Rd (http://www.nspireatlanta.com/ then Nspire center, then facility images) just as the org in this news story was, and this org began at the same time the other was stopped.
Want to help stop them, then contact the state of GA, IRS, FTC and FCC to complain.
The sad thing is, that as soon as this head of the hydra is shut down, they'll just start up again and it will take time to shut them down too. That's why jail time should be mandatory for people like this. At least it will extend the time between their stealing from real non-profit groups that help people. - jewels29 replies to JoanHI ,
I just received a weird call from the "nspire" clothing drive.
Did you ever find out if it's a scam or legit? I hate that people
are even scamming based on charitable gifts.....
thanks. - Just calledOne of their reps just called and when I told him I gave to other homeless organizations, then hung up. He did not realize our recorder was on and he said "lieing [***]". Yea, I really want to help that guy!
- Caller: nspire / atlanta
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- KelsMany calls, no messages left over the past few years.
I have answered before and a woman explained the charity. This was in 2008. I left clothing out in bags labeled "Nspire." The bags were picked-up and a receipt was left in my door.
This past February, I received a call from the same number and was told they were picking up clothes in my area the following week. I was not able to get clothes together, due to a family emergency. When they called the night before, and explained the situation, the woman was very rude and a said that they were depending on my clothes that they were always very nice and were able to get a good resale on them. I was very confused by this, because I had assummed that the clothing was DONATED to the homeless. I do not give clothes to this service anymore. Regardless that I found the website (nspireatlanta.com) and that they could be legit, I was not happy at the caller's statements. I will donate to Goodwill and The Atlanta Kidney Foundation from now on, which BTW are also listed as .com charities. The term .org at the end of an address doesn't make it legit!- Caller: did not leave a message
- xxx replies to alisa| 12 repliesBeing suspicious of a "charity" is not cold hearted. There are many scams out there. If they were legit, they would have a physical address on their website. There has not been one on there since I heard of them over 7 months ago. I think this is a scam to get your house hold goods and sell them for a profit.
- E2's Mom replies to xxx| 2 repliesActually I am a volunteer with the Nspire org and Safehouse ministries downtown and would like to say they are compeltely legit! Because the offices were moved and without a permanent home for several months, that is why you may not have found an address on the website. New location in Lawrenceville now though! 1305 Lakes Parkway!!
- Quin Sims replies to Peter Pann| 6 repliesInspire is a real organization I have been donating to them for years. They use their residents to make the calss but they pay them for it. So they are providing them with jobs. No need to worry they are real.
- Matt| 1 replyLegitimate, but incompetent. We have made 3 appointments for them to pick up our donations and they failed to show all three times.
