- Carol replies to Dianesee the above complaint in response to Kenneth. I think they are responding on this website. There's a lot of information about this organization in the complaint I found and none of the information is re-assuring.
- JDPerhaps they should take the money used to make these calls and pay their employees and put it to helping the homeless. I GIVE my clothes to organizations that GIVE the clothes to those in need.
- Caller: NSPIRE
- ziporian replies to Carol| 1 replyNspire is as legitimate as Goodwill or Salvation Army. These stores sell their clothes and items. Nspire has to sell some to get money for operation. They hire homeless people to work in the telemarketing centers to get items to give to the homeless and the workers. It is a cycle to help. I have been to their location on Pleasanthill and met the Director. Everyone has a choice. You can give your clothes directly to homeless people, throw them away, give them to Goodwill or another charity. At the end of the day, you are doing what you feel you need to do with your items. That's all that matters and no one should judge you for that. They have so many phone numbers because they have so man phone. Genius. A good number to call is 678-298-2073. Ask all the questions you want.
- Merry LoveI'm so tired of this caller i don't bother to answer the ph anymore when i see their name and no. I've told them repeatedly that i don't have anything to donate and ask them not to call but i guess they're too stupid to understand.

- C BThese jerks woke me up at 8 am and wouldn't leave a voice mail or legitimate number to call me back.
Do not believe any of these stories from Gregg K or anyone else praising them. They are all smokescreen BS posts by employees to pretend that a bunch of people praise them. These stories are fabricated to skew the data in these pages. If they were true, people would leave actual ways to verify them.
Notice that only Gregg K leaves any actual contact information, and half the tax stuff he and his slave lackeys claim, can be researched by the IRS or other regulatory bodies and proven to be a bunch of crap, taking advantage that your average person doesn't have the knowledge or information or skills to navigate all the legal mumbo jumbo involved.
I don't even care who they help. Any LEGITIMATE organization would not telemarket to people, harass them, and act so shady making it hard to call back or find out who they really are, and lie about their status.
The FBI, the IRS and consumer watchdog agencies all know about you and you are going down. Better save some of your donations for your sorry selves. God hates liars and charlatans.- Caller: NSpire
- annoyed with scam callers| 1 replyThis charity has called over the years and I have asked them just about every month to please (and I am nice on the phone) to take my number off. I do NOT donate money or anything to charities over the phone. Because you don't know what is a scam out there. Just sayin
and calling at 8AM is not right... they called me this morning. Also if they are a real charity as they say they are, they should leave messages on the answering machine. Kind of rude not to.- Caller: NSPIRE ATLANTA
- Call type: Non-profit organization
- VeronicaCheck out the October 2010 Publication, by Jackson EMC (the Electric Company) (www.jacksonemc.com), they have a very intersting article on NSPIRE who they support.
- A.B. Martin replies to Peter Pann| 3 repliesI got a call also for Inspire Operations clothing drive. I asked them if they were like Must Ministries in Marietta, Ga. They said yes. So, I fell for it. I left 3 large boxes/bags by my garage door. They promised to
leave me a receipt for tax deductions, which they didn't do. Did you find anything out about these people? - ronindecatur replies to bcNSPIRE is a non-profit agency registered in the state of Georgia. You can access this through the GA Sec. of State's office.
- Dee replies to Peter PannThe company is actually Nspire. I have had several pickups from them.
- gsneI do not know anything about this company except that they called me and I left clothes that they picked up. They called me several other times (but never every day) and I did not have anything to donate. The caller asked if I wanted to recieve collection day information on e-mail rather than by phone call. I said yes and have not had another call !!
To those who think they should not get calls at 8:40 pm. 1) Non profits are not restricted by the "do not call list"; 2) Calls can be made until 9:00 pm. (that is after the 8:40 time frame)
If you think that everyone who is not working or has financial difficulties is a "deadbeat" then you should not donate. But there are people who need help and you should not try to convince others to ignore them.- Caller: NSPIRE

- ArliSome of you all are a bunch of idiots. I don't know if Nspire is legit or not I don't care. I've worked for the American Kidney Services myself and they are far from a scam. They are legitimate and they are a part of the American Kidney Foundation.
- Arli replies to annoyed with scam callersWell if you knew anything at all, the federal govt regulates what time agencies like them call. I worked for American Kidney Services and we are only allowed to call between 6-9pm mon-fri and start at 8am on weekends. so if you don't like the fact we call so late or so early complain to the federal govt. like many have said, non-profit agencies are not restricted by the national "do not call" registry
- Real| 1 replyIs Nspire legit? To be honest, I'm not sure, but I don't think so. I've done some research and have found a lot of bad information about them. I've seen a lot of thrift shops popping up in this bad economy. I've found that several appear to be owned by the executive director of Nspire. So I suspect that he is getting people to donate clothing and household goods to his homeless outreach "ministry" and then sells them in his thrift shops for pure profit. I find their slick website and facility to be suspicious. Why would a legitimate local charitable organization waste so much money on appearances? It's marketing. Also, on sites like this, where people complain about Nspire, the exec. director always shows up to defend himself. Not only that, some of the people who have been supposedly helped s up to give testimonials. How would they know to do that? SO I suspect the testimonials are fake, too.
The bottom line is NEVER donate to a charity that cold calls you looking for money. They are usually scams.
Some posters don't seem to understand how the National No Call Registry works. It is intended to stop telemarketing calls only. Charitable, religious and political organizations are exempt from the law. These organizations may call you at any time between 8am and 9pm (time varies by state). Also the NDNC Registry law applies only to call centers operating n the U.S. Many companies have moved these operations offshore to avoid the law.
Finally, get caller ID and never, ever answer a call from a number you do not know. It it is a legitimate call, they will leave a message. Tell friends that you screen calls so leave a message if you don't answer. This strategy is important. The systems that dial the numbers for telemarketers do't use phone books, but they do use databases. By answering a call and saying you're not interested, you only confirm that the number is a voice line and that you answer your phone. This gets your number flagged in many databases and the number of calls you receive will actually increase. Conversely, if you never answer, eventually your number will be flagged as does not answer and the number of calls you receive will drop significantly. If you actually donate to a charity that calls you, prepare yourself for an onslaught of similar appeals. As I wrote earlier: never donate to a charity that cold calls you.- Caller: NSpire

- blue replies to Carol| 2 repliesI had one call from them and had things out for them to pick up and they never showed up. I just don't answer the phone when caller ID says they are calling.

Waking my family up from 3am onward.. They are a local, If need be I will drive over and they explain it to this 6'4" pissed off combat vet in person... - Hooter replies to Quin Sims| 1 replyGood you donate to them Peter Pan and Captain Hook, and all your other little fairies and elf's who live in Never Never Land. While your at it donate for the rest of us in the real world who DON"T WANT THEIR STINKING CALLS
- hooter replies to MadodesaLOL whatever
- bob replies to Sick and Tired| 1 replyI was a homeless person and I got into the program that your donations support. There are many people (like myself) who have benefited greatly from people's clothing donations and the monies generated in this thrift store. I am currently employed, going to college, and recording my music. Maybe you should do some research before you assume that everyone is looking for a free ride.
- olin replies to DonovanThey are a very worthy operation.. Many homeless people (including myself) have benefited from the clothing that has been donated and the money that they generate.
