- Frustrated replies to Avid DonorLegit organization is not the key here. When an organization abuses telemarketing efforts then they have forfeited their right to be classified as legit and transgressed to unlawful status. I personally have never donated to this organization. I am on the National Do Not Call registry. However, over the past 2 years I have logged in a ledger over 1000 calls and every time they did call they let it go to voice message but never left a message. After first getting these calls I did answer but immediately the caller would hang up. This is plain and simply harassment by an organization that claims to be a Christian organization. The law should throw the book at them as far as I am concerned!!!
- Not Again replies to MI don't know if a scam or not but I am looking at my donation right now that should have been picked up yesterday. That is it for me. I thought I was doing them a favor but now I have to drag inside 4 heavy bags. They are off my list for good!
- Mel replies to Kathryn AdamsYou should have called the police that is theft and inspire is stealing because they used to call from the same phone number as Park Avenue thrift it is a scam
- Mrs. BrayI have never donated to the American Kidney Association, but I have been getting calls daily for years now. I have repeatedly asked to be taken off their list, but the calls keep coming. I have had calls as late as 9:30 pm. The last year or so the calls have been coming from a different local number each day, so it is impossible to block them..
- Caller: American Kidney Association

- karh replies to Avid DonorI have NEVER donated, have asked to be removed from their list and yet I receive no less than four calls a day. What I have said in the past (answered by accident) and will say in the future is not printable in this format. THEY ARE NOT LEGIT. I have asked what percentage goes to the cause - unknown. Who is your sponsor - unknown. How much do you make - no answer. By the way, 60 minutes did a story on this type of scam - most of the homeless make less than $10.00/day and have quotas of how much to bring in. These types of boiler plate operations are like kids, cats, and dogs - you feed them you own them, if they THINK you MIGHT feed them, you own them. There are way too many charities with a 90% donation rate and 10% or less overhead rate that actually do good. Why get bent about it? I am tired of such disruptive inconsiderate liars calling me.
- susan| 1 replyyou all are crazy. i never knew there were so many crazy people in the world. are you paranoid or what. this is a legit agency whether or not you donate to them is your own business but please go be crazy on your own somewhere else.

- Goober1952 replies to A man who knows Gregg KennardWOW!!!! You spent a whole hour checking Gregg and his wife out and found out that quick what a rip off artist he is!!!
NOT! Have you ever personally met Gregg? Have you ever been to NSPIRE and found out what they do? Do you have a clue what it takes to turn a life around when it has been lived without normal rules and guidelines.
Do you think the only help needed is a free meal, a nights bed and maybe some free clothes?
You need a life! I spent a whole minute reading your comments and I know that you are ......
Well, never mind, real people with real brains will figure it out! - LOL replies to susanyour crazy. lol
- ika replies to bcThe program has the right idea but greed kick in when you try to save money to get out of the program and start your ow life the founder pastor Gregg kenard stops your employment takes your last payroll check and keeps it. Keeps your money you've savedsaved and keeps your belongings and donates and sells them and he can kick you out for no reason and you forfeit your savings. He hides behind the schemes
- SammieThese related organizations have been calling our home phone and my husband's business phone for years. It does no good to ask them to stop and if you call them to get your name on their "do not call" list they give you a number with a recording that says, " memory full." They have no one to answer the phone to handle a name removal request, yet they have plenty of people who call over and over begging for money without considering or caring how much this disturbs your privacy and interrupts your life. They also hang bright pink bags on your home for donations in a no solicitation neighborhood - what I consider trespassing - that alerts everyone driving by that you re not home! I would never donate to this organization that shows no consideration or compassion. Their main goal is to find those who have not researched or is unable to research this group who calls itself a charity. Do the leaders of this thoughtless group call also call themselves Christians?

- Truth IsGreg is just a front man for this operation.
This whole charity thing is run by the Westrop Family.
Sterling Westrop in Atlanta,Tenn.,Ark.,North Carolina, and soon Jacksonville Florida
Elena Westrop in Florida Tampa and Orlando, charity clothing pickup
Dick Westrop in Texas,New Orleans,Oklahoma,
Anita Westrop(Walker) in Missouri,Illinois,Kansas
They are also teamed up with the McLees family, Dyke family, and Smith family
These people do nothing more than calculate your worth for potential free items you will give.
The entire operation is run by Westrop's mainly.
They have 10 or more thrift stores in Texas as well.
They don't buy from the charity. This is setup as a contract to pay by the cart of clothing.
The Park Avenue thrift is most likely getting a big chuck of tax breaks by "hiring" Nspire clients.
So give them your money and watch them duck taxes and dump the cost of doing business on you.
Complete joke. Lots of local church or catholic charities will GIVE your donated items away.

- Wilson replies to DO NOT CALL LIST| 1 replyThis is a lie.
- Kathryn replies to gregg kennard nspire atlantaI am concerned by the misrepresentation of your callers of how the clothing benefits local victims of domestic violence and victims across the entire state of North Carolina. I am in Raleigh, NC and work with the local DV agency. We are the only local DV shelter and I find it odd to be told you are serving victims in Raleigh when you have no connection to the victims we are serving or to any of the organization's we work with locally.
I was told the only distribution center(s) in NC were in Charlotte and Concord, and that victims have to come to the center to get clothes. So- you mean to tell me that domestic violence victims in Raleigh and across the state of North Carolina are traveling to Charlotte/ Concord to get clothing from your program? seriously???
You may do wonderful work in Atlanta, but Your organization's presentation of your work in Raleigh is very disturbing and absolutely untrue. - Brandedhope replies to JaneI would be more than greatful for your donation if you would like I will start picking them up you can give me a call at 678-472-4058
- Betsy Taylor replies to blueThey called me twice , once last night to remind me to have my donations at the curb at 7 a.m. & labeled. No one ever came after I woke up at 5:30 to be sure of getting them out there on time. I am going to take the 9 bags of clothes to the Good Will.
