File a complaint with the FTC, as they have violated Section 805 of the FDCPA:

Communication in connection with debt collection   [15 USC 1692c]
(c) CEASING COMMUNICATION.  If a consumer notifies a debt collector in writing that the consumer refuses to pay a debt or that the consumer wishes the debt collector to cease further communication with the consumer, the debt collector shall not communicate further with the consumer with respect to such debt, except --

(1) to advise the consumer that the debt collector's further efforts are being terminated;

(2) to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor may invoke specified remedies which are ordinarily invoked by such debt collector or creditor; or

(3) where applicable, to notify the consumer that the debt collector or creditor intends to invoke a specified remedy.

If such notice from the consumer is made by mail, notification shall be complete upon receipt.

A scam agency called Mann Bracken calls me frequently throughout the day from 678-801-2399. They don't even have the guts to let their name show up on caller ID...it just says unknown. When they do decide to talk, they want to know all my personal info to "verify who they are talking to". If they are calling me they should already know who I am, my number is unlisted. They will not tell me why they are calling unless I give them my social, birthdate, mothers maiden name, where I work and who I bank with.
A few weeks ago this number called and claimed to be with a federal agency that deals with credit card fraud. When I asked what agency they were with and what their name or position is they hung up. They hang up alot. I used to work in the repossession industry and in skiptracing, I know that if a person or entity is calling for a legitimate reason they won't hang up on you when you ask who they are. Particularly if they are trying to collect. Whats the point of even calling?

I want to expose these idiots for what/who they are...scamming, bottomfeeding, heartless bloodsuckers who lie for a buck! Also, they have represented themselves to me as Federal Agents and that will be reported to the Federal Trade Commission and the FBI

I have gotten several phone calls from these people also, even after I sent them letters telling them to validate the debt (to which they haven't as of yet).  They even sent the debt to the National Arbitration Forum to whom I also sent a validation letter and they never responded and just went right ahead to get an award without following the proper procedures.  They have also called me over 17 times before 8:00am which is against the law (you can find out all that information on the Fair Debt Collection website).  I have also surfed the web and found out that they have been sued several times for harassment, abuse, not following the Fair Debt Collection Act, etc.  To find out some of this information you can go to this website:  http://www.stopcollectionabuse.com/whatsnew.htm

Have received two calls from this number today. One female with a terrible accent and at 6:45 p.m. a very rude male telling me to call today because this is a "time sensitive" matter.  He said his name was John Johnson.  The return number he gave me is 888-232-8439.

I have sent them certified letters to stop calling and they are still calling... They have not answered my request for Validation either ...
I have yet to talk to them.. Sometimes they leave message sometimes not
After reading this web site it is appalling that they get away with just a fine ....

These people keep calling my cell phone asking for Victoria Caine.  I have told them I am not Victoria and don't know her, but they call several times everyday anyway.  Will try some of the things suggested here.

Got a call 3/12 at 8:30 a.m.  Said they from Mann Bracken and that even though "you are retired, we can and will get your social security check unless you pay this bill in full."  I offered to make arrangements for payments each month since I am raising two grandchildren and their reply was "we don't care about any grandchildren" and "we don't care if you only get social security" either "pay this bill or we will have your social security check next month."  I do not believe they can touch my social security check by law but they are very rude and obnoxious people and even told me I was a liar saying my only income was social security.

"Unknown" number called here and left message that they were some attorneys ofc. and to return the call immediately, also I am on the "do not call list".  I didn't call back.

I get calls from this number several times a day. If I answer, a recorded voice tells me I have a message waiting and to press 1 to hear the message. The message is then "retrieved" after a minute or two and it's the same each time. I think in that minute or two the computer is seeing if there's an operator who can answer my call. The message is that I should return the call, that's it.

When I don't answer or reject the call, the computer leaves a voicemail, but the beginning is cut off, so the following is verbatim what I hear:

"to 9 PM Eastern time, Monday through Thursday, 8 AM to 5 PM, Friday, and 8 AM to 12 noon on Saturday. Once again, that number is  866 224 0630."

its always the same guy i ended up talkling with.
they had a collection account of my husbands i think it was belks or something one of those places.   and we owed 600 and some dollars we had to pay them, they had another with my husband and they took him to court over it

It's not the attorneys that are working that late, it's the loser collection agents they hire to torment you day and night with their phone calls.  I'm getting phone calls from them now regarding a debt with Target.  I'm in the process of sending them a "cease and desist" letter.  Hopefully, that will help.

Don't let them harass you like that.  We DO have rights.  Report them to the Federal Trade Commission and the State Attorney General Office.  If all fails, I suggest you disconnect your phone and get an unlisted number.  I wish a bunch of us could get together and file a class action suit against these leeches.  Not only Mann Bracken, but also NCO Financial....another group of bloodsuckers!!!  I can't stand any of them.  Why don't they all go and get "real" jobs!!!

These people have called my cell for weeks. Verizon can not block their calls. I have told them I am not the person they are trying to call. They stop for a few days and then start back up stronger each time. These people are "Jack-[***]".

I also got calls on behalf of my disabled husband.  I was told by her that she already KNEW what he owns.  I stated that he does not own anything and she replied, "that is not what I have here".  I let her know in tears, that it was only a house with three mortgages on it.  Meanwhile, in my state you can't put a judgment against a house being deeded and mortgaged in both spouse's names.  I turned her over to my lawyer.  Do yourself a favor everyone, just ask a lawyer to deal with them.

I dealt with them becasue of a Target account. They called none stop. The rep I dealt with though was actually nice and patient with me. Once They stopped being stalkers that is!

Thanks for the website link.  That site has a tremendous amount of information.  There were things that I didn't know that helped me out a lot.  My problem is the debt is not for me or anyone that I know and I can't get them to quit calling me.  My phone is on the do not call list so I finally reported them on that website, but I don't know if that will help or not.

Here's how to get them to stop calling you:

Under Section 805 of the FDCPA (Ceasing Communications), they HAVE to stop calling you once they receive your written request or face fines of up to $1,000.00 PER violation.

Send them this "Drop Dead" letter VIA Certified Mail and request a return receipt. Keep copies of everything!

Got a call from them yesterday, woke me up, in a foul mood I told the caller to go [***] himself, So far they have NOT called back.

By the way, everyone should know there's a smsll switch on all telephones that silences the ringer, great for idiots like these, after the first call flip the switch.
Let them die of frustration thinking it's annoying you, but it's not.
