By the way, everyone should know there's a small switch on all telephones that silences the ringer, great for idiots like these, after the first call flip the switch.

Well, be careful with them.  They are lawyers and the next thing is probably you'll be getting a letter from them.  Ask validation of the debt on question right away and don't answer the phone.  I'll see an attorney this friday. will let you know.

Received a two hung up calls from 404-591-3692 - check numbers off caller ID it was listed to Mann Bracken,LLC.  Does this count towards their debt recovery or just to say they called.

If anyone changes their # to a non published #, never give that new # out to anyone! Including your utitily billing co or banks. Collectors have access to programs that pull from the utility co's your phone numbers including your family and neighbors. I was a collector, I know the tricks but I hate when other collectors take it to the harassment level. Turn them into the Federal Trade commission.

You need to send a letter to them stating them to cease all calls.  This is legal.  You can get over the internet.  You can look up Budhibbs.com and they have good info for this type of thing.  Tell them only respond by mail.  You have this right per the FTC.  Or report to the attorney generals office and FTC also.

I have been receiveing calls from this firm and have not answered them. They are in regards to a debt with Cap. One however this morning I was greeted at my door with a court summons for a debt of $1700.  I had planned on calling them to offer a settle ment but afetr reading these comments I am afraid to deal with them.

I got a call from these people on 4/8/08 spoke with them the man was extremly rude kept talking over me everytime i said i understood i had this debt and i was willing to repay he said i did not make enough to make payments and laughed we are on one income husband is in military he said we should have a load of money in the bank i started crying asked to speak to his supervisor where she threatend to put a lien on my house if i didn't give her a postdated check. I did i gave it a week no letter from them or anything we put a stop payment on the check how are we to know who these people are for all i know they could of been a scam artist trying to get my bank account info.  So until i have something in writing from them i am not paying which i can't afford to pay the whole thing right now i need to feed my family. I called them the day i stopped payment on the check left all my contact info they never got back to me these people are rude and ignorant. I am about ready to get a lawyer so they can deal with them i don't know what else to do.

Received a call from them a few minutes ago; said they calling on behalf of Chase and they needed to verify my social security number, etc.  I informed them that I had filed bankruptcy and would not give them any information; that my bankruptcy attorney was handling it.  They said they didn't care about any bankruptcy, that they were hired to collect a debt and that was their intent.  I told her (she refused to give her name; would only say she was from Mann Bracken)again that I had filed bankruptcy and to not call here again.  She said well you can reaffirm and pay this account and I told her when pigs fly.  I then hung up on her.

We keep receiving a call on our phone for an Alfred Baker.  There is no Alfred Baker at this house.  They call several times a day, everyday.  There is no live person on the call - just a recording.  Stop calling!!!  If no one answers, meaning no voicemail or a real person, they just keep redialing until they get a voicemail.  Then they leave the same message - a recording asking Alfred Baker to call this 1-800 number.

5/30/08... first one of many to come I am sure... I didn't answer it. I have been getting harassed by other numbers, I think they switch itup to try to get me to answer. Will keep you upsated if the calls continue.

They have called my house as well.  The do many illegal things and if you document everything illegal they do, you actually can sue them.  It is illegal for them to call in a harrassing manner (by this they can't call repeatedly every day), it is illegal to contact someone after 9pm of your local time, it is illegal to threaten soemthing unless they plan to carry it out (which means that if they threaten something that is illegal... obviously they can't do it).  Look up the legal code both for your state and the federal guidelines.  It will give you a better understanding of what they can and cannot do and what your rights are.  If you do owe money, it is also possible to sue for the monies owed to them if they are breaking the law!  Or if you just simply want them to leave you alone write them a letter and they have to stop also.  I am not a lawyer, just in law school, so some of this information I have gathered may not be complete.    Good luck to all!

Like everyone else, I am receiving harassing phone calls from Mann Bracken LLC.  

I found their email address (marketinginfo@mannbracken.com)...I encourage everyone to send them a formal email.  Here is what I sent them.  Copy, and paste what I wrote them and then follow up with a FCC complaint if the calls don't stop (you can go to the FCC website and follow the links to file an online complaint...it takes a little time, but it's worth it).
