these stupid people called my house at 10:00 pm!! I didn't think they had the right to call and harass people that late. they never leave a message. i tried blocking their number so we'll see if it works.

Continual calling for months, their first question is for my social security number, I dont give that to anyone.  Stated that federal guidelines require that they verify who I am before they can give me any information.  I asked why they didnt know who I was since they were calling me, then they knew my first name and still wanted to ask me questions.  I said federal guidelines/law also require you to cease and desist when told to do so but they continue.  Very offensive and rude, last lady told me to call back when I could have a civil conversation.  Im calling the Georgia Attorney General and filing a complaint.

A cease-desist letter hasn't helped me.  I sent them a letter last year.  Then stopped answering the phone, as they were haressing me continually, but that did'nt stop them.  Then the served me with a summon, which gave me 30 days to answer/respond.  I sent a letter, certified, return receipt requested, which I got back with a signaturel.  I also sent a certified letter, return receipt to the Clerk of the Court in my local city in Georgia.  45 Days or so later, I received a letter from the court granting a judgement to Trauner, Cohen & Thomas, L.L.P. stating that I did not answer/respond in the appropriate amount of time.  Now I received a letter from the attorney's office stating that since I didn't respond to the to their requests and that now they will take further legal action, i.e. a garnishment, attachment, levy of real or personal property, post-judgement deposition, interrogatores and other remedial action.  I hace no such assests and the only incomeI have is my Social Security of $827.00 a month to live on.  Though  it is illegal for them to attach my social security, they can put a lien on my checking account, even though it is illegal, but it would cause me a lot of stress.  I would love to work, but I have Multiple Sclorosis and heart problems, so beware of these people.

Several phone calls over last month.  We bought our house from someone who skipped the country with a lot of bad debt.  Somehow our number got associated with their name (probably from tying address to phone #, disregarding new name) and now we get their deadbeat calls.  Fun.

Numerous calls from this number. The name of the caller was blocked. I googled the number and came up with the name Mann Bracken, LLC. I discovered this person is in colletions. They also use an 800 number. They were very threating when they used the 800 number.
They call 24/7 from 7:00 AM to 11:00PM.

They call all day long leaving messages at work for 3 months now.  I don't know what they are trying to collect.  I want to send a letter to cease & disist but I don't want to give them any information about me like my mailing address if they bought my information from another source.  I have not received anything in writing from them explaining why the contact.  It's frustrating.

I paid what they asked. They said they never got it but I sent them the cashed check.

Then they said it was more. I sent them back their offer letter. Some guy called and said the guy who wrote it was wrong.

But I read about them on mannbrackenwatch.blogspot.com and I called and talked to Connell Loftus. He is one of the new bosses fter the buyout.

He stopped the case and refunded half the money I sent.

Why? He will be out of business if he loses his law license and enough Bar Complaints will do it.

I did sign a release about Bar Complaints but it settled a $5500 debt for $450.

This is an attorney's office. If you do not respond to them, they will file a judgment against you.  A marshall delivered the notice to me personally with a date to appear in court. They are legit. I promise.  And if you do not pay, they get a court order to send a sheriff to come into your house and take an itemized inventory of everything you have in your house. They will also garnish your wages up to 25% in GA. They have collected from me for 3 different credit card companies and a repo car. Trust me we know.

You need to retain an attorney and have this judgment vacated, for what they have done is ILLEGAL.

I told the collector to take a hike. I called back and lied, told them I needed an attorney to handle a payment dispute. She put me through to Chris Diwan.

I told him I knew what Mann Bracken was about and that in today's economic climate a Chase Bank Card is going to get laughed out of court.

So he offered to settle for $200 on nearly $11,000 of debt. Just shows they pay pennies on the dollar.

I also made him give me their Federal Express account, I sent him a Moneygram money order so that there's no funny business. I read on one the sites that John P. Frye who is another collector does this and got fried.

I have gotten a call from this same number as well.  They call claiming to be "attorneys at law" they are really debt collectors who work $5/hour plus commision.  I have an $8,000 dollar debt that they got an award off fromt the National Arbitration Forum! I tried to speak with a lawyer there, but no luck! They are rude, do not work with you and call me ten times a day! I have sent them a cease and desist to stop calling me! but they still do, they also threatened to sue me and take me to court if I did not make suitable payment arrangments with them! If anybody can tell me how to stop these idiots please help me god!
