They call and never leave messages. The caller would not give up. The call and call. My phone shows "Spec Directory". who are these people?

7:12 pm. Phone rang. I didn't answer. They hung up. No msg.

they have been calling. I don't answer, they don't leave message (cause it's prbably a machine). I did get a new Yellow Book this week, so that is probably it.

Caller ID was SDDS Inc.  SDDS web site says Specialty Directory Distribution Services Inc. www.sddsinc.com.  They've called me a couple of times.

They call, leave no message. Try to return call back phone is busy.

caller left message on my answering machine. knew my first name and stated she needed to talk to me and to please call her back at 866-490-3813

They are probably checking to see if you recently received the telephone directory they delivered.

I did get a call from this number, they did not leave a message.

This company is headquartered out of Atlanta.  They will call you the week the Yellow Books, Sprint Books, or some other telephone directory is delivered.  All they are doing is verifying that you DID received your telephone book.  The are not required to follow the Do Not Call list because they are not selling anything.  It is just a quality call.

Called my home at 8:55pm on 11/08/07, and left no message

I got a call it shows SDDS on the caller ID and I didn't answer, the answer machine picked up and they didn't leave a message; they just hung up.

Call and never leaves a message.  Today the call came on Tuesday, 11/13/07 at 2:54 pm

No message left, but I did have an Embark telephone book left on my doorstep yesterday.  

I believe they are just calling to verify you received it, but wish they would leave a message with a number to call to say that you did.

HOWEVER - I am not a fan of recorded messages left on my voice mail.  If there is a recording, I delete it the moment I can tell it isn't a live person.  I never listen past the first word or two - I figure if I'm not important enough to have a human on the other end, they (the caller) and whatever their business is, means nothing to me.
