Answer machine recorded call -- no message.

caller id shows unknown. no msg on answering machine, i do not answer unknown numbers anymore..esp if they leave no msg...... see from previous posters it to confirm i got a phone book......i thought they sent out cards through mail to confirm?also?last year i got about 50 dropped off behind my car in a plastic bag..gotta be easier way to  confirm....with all the scammers out there many do not know usually out of area/state number will do this.but heck this time no phone book. oh for days they delivered in mail box instead of thrown out on haphazardly...and one could read the numbers in them without needing a magnifying glass....

Unknown caller.  No message

This caller has amnesia since the ID reads, "Unknown Name". I didn't answer the no message was left. That indicates it was a scam call,.

This time it was "out of area" for me. At least the number is already blocked and I have my ringers turned off.

Someone is calling from this number but does NOT leave a message.

It's sad that we are under surveillance cameras. Noisy people listening in on phone call  I appreciate it if we all sign the petition form on No on spying on humans. or neither participates in helping out in Harassing/stalking people  limited our privacy on the web what goes out stays out, they will sell us as Americans  be aware of who's watching.

Now that I see who's calling, I guess I'll answer their calls and confirm that we did indeed receive that phone book - so everyone can get paid properly.
I don't mind confirming a first name or even the address, but that's about all I could share with them.

I don't think there's any need to get overwrought about this particular caller. It's neither harassing - so far - nor a scam.

Caller ID was Spec Directory.  They did call several months ago right after a phone directory was delivered, but too much time has elapsed for a call merely to verify receipt.  I'm blocking this number.

That's interesting.
They STOPPED calling me after only two calls (from 2 different numbers) the day after the phone book was delivered, so their verification of delivery must not be that important.
If they were to call me back weeks later, that would be suspicious. Maybe they're trying to sell listings and ads for their book.

Caller ID says "678 992 2430 Confirmation Call"  I wasn't home to answer. This call just might be inline with an earlier comment that this is a call to confirm I received delivery of a telephone directory.   This is the time year I normally get a new telephone directory.  The company that pays (miserably) independent contractors to deliver these does place calls to make sure the independent contractors  actually delivered directories on a street to the door or to the mailbox or other contracted for spot and did not just dump the directories somewhere while nontheless billing for their delivery.

Constantly calling

Phone rung and I answered. Showed "Confimation call"  No answer.

These guys call every year after they drop off the 'yellow pages.'   Not the best job in the world.   I have noted
that I don't use the yellow pages or phone book much these days & they are starting to end up in the recycle bin.

I got a call from this number. They get to the answering machine, then hang up. Whatever they want it's not important enough to leave a message. To me it seems like some kind of scam. If might be someone calling to see if I got a phone book but if so, they're not trying very hard to talk to me. Caller ID shows number only.
