I got this message at 1:45 am August 9th...I didn't answer but they left a voice mail saying press 1 to activate my credit card...Obviously a scam being as they called in the middle of the night, and I don't know anyone from ND. Block this number.

I got the same call.  Recorded voice saying this is Bank of America calling to say my debit card (I don't have one with BOA) was being de-activated due to fraud concerns and to press 2 to be connected to BOA security team.  I hung up and called BOA with whom I DO have a credit card.  They confirmed it was a scam.

My sister got a call from this number, and I got the one from an Orlando-based number... both saying the same thing- BoA card deactivated, press 1. I think these scammers must have several numbers they're calling from. Both of us got these calls in the middle of the night last night. We're both still on the same phone plan. So that tells me this isn't random automated calling; they got a list from somewhere. I'll be damned if AT&T has leaked out phone numbers- but I don't know how else we would have both gotten the same call last night. AT&T is the only common denominator between our cell numbers that I can think of.

Out of curiosity, who else getting these calls has AT&T service?

Got a call from this number saying that my debit card has been placed on hold and to hit "1" to re-activate service. They never mentioned who they were or gave any other identifying information. I hung up.

I got a call this morning - a recorded voice told me they regretted to inform me that my debit card was locked and to press 1 for security. My bank does not have my cell number. This is a scam. I hung up.

Got call 2:10 pp.m. EDT.  Caller ID showed it as a cellular phone. Recorder female offering home security system hooked into local PD & blah, blah blah.  Usually let machine pick up & usually its a hang-up w/no message. Shoulda done that this time, too. Duh.

Received cal from this number. A computer generated voice said it was the NCUA and that my debit card had been locked (I don't have a debit card with a credit union that the NCUA would insure, but continued to see what type of scam it was). Message said to press "1" to unlock the card. Pressed "1" and then the same computer voice repeated, press "1" to unlock or "2" to cancel. Press "1" and then the computer voice asked me to enter my 16-digit debit card number. I then hung up. I called the phone number that appeared on the caller I.D., and a computer generated voice answered making it sound like a direct marketing business but didn't give a name, opting to press a button to opt out of their service. This is an obvious scam to get your debit card number (and it probably would ask for your PIN number in order to unlock the card). Do not fall for it.

just got a call saying my debit card had been locked and to press 1....I hung and called my bank, seems the card had been compromised, but no fraudulent withdrawals....my bank cancelled the card immediately....said it could have been some merchant whose system had been compromised. Beware.

I have been getting calls from SEVERAL numbers.
This one and also these area codes:
    214
    407
    508
I have done a search on all of them and have seen similar messages posted by potential victims. They are calling both me and my husband, so we're trying to figure out if we put our info out there recently to piece together how this all started. 3 of the 4 were all saying they were calling from wells fargo and our card was locked. We do not bank with them. The 4th call was an Indian sounding man telling my husband he was calling about the virus on our computer. We have a MAC and it does not get viruses...Anyway, we are concerned as to how these people are getting our info as we have had problems with overseas fraud transactions in the past. Any suggestions as to where to report this? It's ridiculous and they need to be stopped. Unfortunately there are a lot of people out there oblivious enough to fall for something like this.
