- RichReading several 'posts' from other people. The same number continues to call and my answering system kindly asks for the caller to leave a message. I never receive any voice message - HOWEVER, the same number (AC 702) sometimes calls again in the same day and alsocalls my seconary line. In all cases caller does not leave a message. My policy is not to answer a number I do not recognize, especially when it is from an area code I have no contacts in.

- DCool| 1 replyi kept getting calls from 702-260-6126 and the caller ID shows it as Consumer Telcom . It's a Nevada phone # so i decided to go on line to look up Consumer Telcom. I found this information on line and called:
Consumer Telcom, Inc.
701 North Green Valley Parkway
Suite 200
Henderson, NV 89014
Telephone: 800.872.3811
i called the 800# and they asked my phone #. when the girl took my phone # she said she didn't have an account for my # and that's when I laid into her. i told her they wouldn't have an account on me because this is a scam and told them not to call the phone # i had just given her or i would report them to my phone co. the address is listed also. - LarryI have had several calls but missed them until today, I answered and a man with a deep rough voice gave me the same bs as the others received, there is something very wrong here and I think the FCC needs to be alearted, if I could get a number I would do it myself, its in Nevada so the Feds should be interested.

- edj| 1 replyGot a call today. Said they could lower my monthly long distance bill. Hung up instead of telling me the details when I wanted to go over them again and said they would mail them to me. I suppose this deal is not available to people who want to understand it in detail. /s

- doug replies to edji think the random hang up/nobody on the other end calls are computer generated and will flag a positive if you answer and then they will take the positves one by one and personally call back at same time. Still a scam I'm sure
- Austin| 1 replyGot a phone call from that number this afternoon. A guy said he can reduce my phone bill from $8 to $2 which is very suspicious because I am using unlimited phone service from AT&T and it is nowhere close to $8 a month. When I asked which company he is calling from, he said "You are not paying attention at the beginning. Good day, Sir". WTF

- tired of scams| 3 repliesI got the same phone call. He said I had charges on my long distance bill. He asked if I was the person in charge of the phone bill. He never said what company he was with and did not ask to speak to Mr. or Mrs. _____. He didn't even know who he was calling. I said I don't have a phone bill I have Comcast. He said he had the wrong number and hung up. I thought it was weird that someone who supposedly has my phone info. could accidentally call a wrong number.
- StaceyI had the same experience as others here - a woman told me she was from Consumer Telecom and that they would be reducing my long distance fee on behalf of my telephone company because I had little usage last month. Try no usage - I don't have long distance service through my phone company. As soon as I tried to ask a question, she hung up on me. The caller ID came up as Consumer Telecom. I called my phone company to report the call and had a flag put on my account in case they tried to make any changes.

- LauraI just received another call from 702-260-6126 at my work number. I'm not answering since I've read the comments here.

- Illinoissame story, different person. woman called, asked for person in charge of long distance, and hung up. Called Las Vegas PD, dispatcher refused to let me speak with a desk officer. Told me I had to go report this to my local PD as a courtesy report. Instead, had her transfer me to FBI's LV office. Suggest everyone who gets hit by this scam/harrassment to call Las Vegas FBI at 702-385-1281 to report this. More people who report this, the less law enforcement authorities can dismiss this.

- kateAfter the usual auto-dial delay, a woman named Judy asked for me by first name. After I confirmed who she was speaking with, I didn't say anything else and let her talk. She told me that all telephone bills in Georgia (where I live) were going up $10, and "they" were calling everyone to let them know. Oh really? (I was immediately suspicious because I have VOIP thru a national company.) Because I hadn't responded during the first few lines of her script, she asked if I could hear her. I said yes and asked why my service provider hadn't informed me. She haughitily asked if I even knew who she was. I said no, but when someone starts out a conversation by telling me my phone bill is going up, it sounds like a sales pitch. And then hung up.
