The phone number 702-359-5643 belongs to a US based company called Select Student Loan Help - http://selectstudentloanhelp.com/apply-now/ - phone 1-866-848-4072.
A female answered and confirmed that 702-359-5643 is a "third party company" they use to telemarket their supposed debt relief for US citizens.
This company is not compliant with US regulations.
I don't know what, if anything, our Canadian government can do to stop this. I know protection under our Do Not Call List does NOT extend to companies in the US or any other country.
Please let me know of any suggestions. All I can think of is downloading a free app with a free phone number and calling them at 1-866-848-4072 to harass them back. Constantly calling with no one there when I pick up.  They call at least 4-5 times a day

Me too, everyday 2 x a day at work, my cell phone 2-3 x a day and my home answering machine daily.  I have asked for a year to quit calling me.  The next day, starts up again!

Except then a different number calls for the same people, I must have about 20 in a spam folder in my cell phone alone.

I get a call everyday from this number and I never answer it as I know it's a scam call and It's annoying 12:30pm :'(

I continue to get these phone calls at my job.  The message I get is about a student loan.

very annoying persistant phone calls,   I tried their 'take me off their list prompt' and now I get their annoying phone calls twice a day now, im' checking into a block on my phone from this parasites

It is about a google page and they called six times today and am going crazy with the calls

We blocked them on our Panasonic phone the other day.  They've called twice today.  Our phone is set to let it ring once to let us know which blocked caller did call.

I will be holding all parties involved accountable and will be contacting the media in every form to publish ALL parties involved (including those who have the authority but have not taken action) that are confirmed and nationally publish the "Student Loan" company claiming to be a government agency.  I will be taking this complete violation to every government entity until the companies are held accountable and closed for business.

I asked the company what is being done to correct the harassment problems and people not being removed after multiple requests and that it is public knowledge this is an ongoing problem and was told "I have too much time on my hands" and hung up on. The answer to how they got my number and then sold it was someone must have entered my phone number. When I replied why was it not deleted after the first ten times... I was told it must have been reentered. As an executive with an excellent career, I was belittled and told I  don't understand business. Came up as JTN on Caller ID.  I didn't answer, no message left.

I get up to 7 calls a day from these people to reduce my student loan. I DON'T HAVE A STUDENT LOAN!! This has been going on for over a month. I have followed their instructions to opt out, I have spoken to representatives from this company to stop the calls, to no avail. I asked to speak to a supervisor and they hung up on me...and the calls INCREASED.

All of our phones are on the do not call lists and I keep adding them once a year!  This caller is calling from telephone # 702-359-5643, which is based in Nevada.  They are calling us for student loan relief!  ONE PROBLEM!  NEITHER OF US HAS EVER HAD ANY COLLEGE STUDENT LOANS!  I have repeatedly told them to put us on the DO NOT CALL LIST to no avail!  Now they keep calling and when we answer our land line they don't answer just hang on the line, which is really driving us crazy, to the point that unless we know who the caller is, we just do not answer!  At one point I was letting the fax machine pick up.  Thinking that would stop the nonsense...  Nope!  The just keep calling!  In this day of technology there has to be a way to block these people from our home phones.  Cell phones are easy just down load an app and put them on the "black list of unwanted callers".  Someone please do something soon or I may just get rid of home phone all together!  At least our cell phones give s the opportunity to block them!
