- Realtor in San Diego| 5 repliesI have been receiving many calls the past 2 months from different people same Nevada numbers area code 702, the latest call coming from Steven Wood (702) 997-6607. They all say that they are from the Union and I was referred to them. They are looking for me to represent their union members in real estate transactions.
I have never spoken to them, they've only left me voicemails asking me to call them back so they can refer me clients. I smell a scam so I looked it up and sure enough, it's too good to be true. They try to sound real and I almost fell for it this time around when they called today. I actually called back but the voicemail answered and it's sounds so whacky I hung up. BEWARE- Caller: Union

Stated she was looking for therapists or counselors who are taking new clients so she could "send" military and union members to my practice.
Phone number was:

This is not a Colorado number- Caller: Union Liaison for State of CO

- FrustratedGot a call today, in Texas. I'm a Realtor®, but have a background in tech and marketing. These scum bags need to be stopped! Each time I block a number, a new number on the rotation pops up. So far, I've blocked 300+ calls from various scams. Now they are even getting on txt. Sure wish that the Do Not Call list was more effective and that phone companies would screen new number sign ups more aggressively. Maybe then between the phone companies, FCC and call blocker these jokers will stop!

- Certified Hypnotist James Malone| 5 repliesReceived a call from this number claiming that they were looking for a hypnotherapist in my locale to refer union members and military personal to. I stated that I am actually a union member (OPEIU-104) and have never heard of them and added that I am sure this is scam as I am sure there would be a high fee attached. The caller became irate and I hung up. Believe it not she called back moments later and left an angry message on my voice mail stating I was all wrong, etc. (its amazing what a good acting job a sociopath can pull off, isn't it?) Needless to say 702-421-4870 was added to my ever growing call block list
Heads up: these scams are very common and they target small business owners. They claim they are "working" with unions, government agencies, big corporations and the like -but they have no actual relationship with them, their members or employees will never get your offer yet you will be charged a significant fee for their listing. (hint: you can approach your local businesses and unions and make your own offer for free, the worst that will happen is that they will say they are not interested.)
Also be very careful never to confirm any personal info with these criminals. Sometimes the scam is to confirm your "free listing" which sounds harmless enough, but it is potentially dangerous to you. The will copy your voice saying "yes" to innocuous details like your address and paste that "yes" after a question like "do you agree to pay us $200 a month for your listing?" If you don't pay up they will sic a bottom-feeding collection agency after you.- Call type: Telemarketer
- Seattle Medical OfficeSame as the other reports: Guy calls, says a union member referred me to the webpage. Here's the thing... Unions have insurance companies that refer members to appropriate doctors and practitioners if needed -- they don't need an independent resource. The webpage doesn't even work well.
I can't remember the name of who called me about 2 years ago, but it was also a Nevada number. They wanted to offer me the same thing -- have me pay money to have myself listed on a poorly designed web page.- Caller: unionworldnews.com

- TomReceived sales pitch from 702-330-3263 even though we are on the national do not call list... Old confusing website looking for potential advertisers $340 for two year placement on area that has no google pr and very hard to find in any search, other than scam warnings...haha... very rude when i stated i wasn't interested. I feel sorry for the sales reps who have to try and find a mark for their product... turnover must be high with that pitch they use...

- M Miller replies to BernieI got this exact message too. Did anything come further of this? I never called them back. Thanks
- knowitallThey just don't stop calling, no matter what..sometimes the name of who they are changes, but the numbers are always the same. They call almost every, single, day!!! Our office is so busy, we don't have time for this. If you ask to stop calling they get snotty...I mean really snotty, sarcastic, etc..like "why do you hate union members?" such crap, I asked two of my family members who are in the unions these scammers "allegedly" represent, they have never heard of them, and agree it's a scam since both of their unions have pre-paid legal and would never have a list of referrals for attorneys for their members..unions use the same tried and true legal services for years and years. Also, since when do union guys need referrals to anyone since their insurance has the only list of businesses and dr.s that can be covered on their policy. I guess these guys think we are stupid. Obviously everyone is saying no, or they wouldn't be so nasty, they would just move on to the next office to bother. I wish I knew their real phone numbers, you can't call them back. I'd love to call them 50 times a day asking if they need our services :)

- RGThese people are crooks and criminals,
- RoeJust out of curiosity, I looked at the website and clicked on the county where I currently live in NY. Good grief, picked up several errors. Information was shown as Informations, address of Mineola for a doctor was shown in Queens, it is definitely in Nassau Cty, Veterans spelled incorrectly as Veterens. Definitely not professionally designed. My Union sends out letters periodically for different doctors and other services that they recommend. I would not trust any calls promoting websites like this.
- Delphy GI received a call from them as well after doing a thorough check I decided to go with them. They are affiliated with union members and I have received various clients with them. People do your research right. They do have a scam report on them 1 to be precise but so do many businesses. Has any one checked out Disneyland reports they have numerous but millions of people go there every day. For the price that Union world news charges it is a great form of getting your business out there. Google yellow pages charge alot and who knows what page you will be on. With union world news you will be on the first page because they only put the most 6 providers in your area. I am very pleased. Good business owners do your research right they are a great company.

- June Smith replies to Certified Hypnotist James Malone| 4 repliesI just received a call from Tom Lee #702-675-8028 saying exactly what was posted above. He was claiming to need referrals to a marriage and family therapist for military and union members who don't want to use their insurance because of confidentiality and wanting to list me as their "premiere" contact for the area. I started googling reviews on the site/company he claimed to represent "http://uwnplus.com/" and immediately saw this site. I read to him several reviews and just like others have reported, he started to get angry and said "have a nice day ma'am" angrily. Definitely a scam.
- June Smith replies to June SmithIn addition to my previous post, the man called me on my personal cell #, not my client phone# despite claiming that one of my clients listed me as a referral who must be either a service member or a union member. I asked him how he got my personal cell # and he said "your client must have had it because they gave it as your referral". No, my clients do not have my personal cell #.
- Denise replies to Bernie| 1 replyI'm a therapist also and got this message also from William Chrison. Thanks for the post. I will block them.
- mike replies to June Smith| 2 repliesHow can you claim this program is a scam when you never signed up for it. 50,000 clients are signed up in the program and are relieving clients and very happy. Anyone on this list claiming that we are a scam have NEVER SIGNED UP OR PAID A SINGLE PENNY. So before you claim this to be a scam you should ask any of the 50,000 professionals that did sign up how they like the the program.
- HAPPY CLIENT| 1 replyPlease note anyone reading these postings you should know that they all say that we are a scam. But in fact not one single person has posted a comment on here has signed up as a provider. There are over 50,000 providers that have signed up and very happy with the amount of clients they are receiving. So before you make a hasty judgement based on these comments. Maybe you should talk to some actual clients and get there feedback.
