Somebody, called from this phone and making false accusations bout me.

A keep getting a call from this number & no one is saying nothing.   This is the second time in 2 months. No says nothing , 1st time they called & got voicemail & left no message. Does this mena your in trouble or something ?

Do you know what the means to get a call from that # ?

I have been getting calls from this number (702-486-4000) since 7 am. I have over 30 missed calls from this number. Does anyone know why they are calling and just sitting there on the phone?

how do you know they are just "sitting there on the phone" if you say they are missed calls??  why not just answer it and find out who it is?

that is the number for welfare fraud.

It is the Nevada DMV.

It is a generic number that is generated when a call is placed from a State agency phone.  In this case, the 4000 number belongs to the welfare fraud office.

That # is the NV Dept of Agriculture....

That number is from just about any NV state agency I believe. For me it is from the Governor's Consumer Health office who is assisting me with a claim I have against my Health insurance company.

My probation officer has called me from this number. I got a call again today, but there was no message left. My probation officer leaves messages, so this was possibly another NV state agency.

702-486-4000 received call today, 12/31/08.  She claimed she was calling from NV Tax Dept. and she like to do the audit because I have stopped paying tax.  I respond to her the business was sold early this year and I was in the Tax Dept. just couple weeks ago to close the account, they have all my info, how come she did not find my record.  She claimed the dept. is a big corporation and one person does not talk to another.  That sounded weird, I replied "If you are from Tax Dept. don't your data have my info in the system?  And just couple days ago I received a letter from Tax Dept. confirming the company have sold so why you did not have this info., this is impossible!"  I got suspicious.  When I called back the numbers, it was either busy or it rings forever.  It must be a fraud/scam company that trying to get your personal info.

Girl called me asking about Las Vegas casinos and said the "commission" gave her my number. Asked if my number was 486-2060. I said no. She said her name was Kristen Olsen. Really weird.
