Ok, so as a State employee here it is.... The state of Nevada owns a number of phone lines that the automated system calls out on when we dial out. So it could be any number of state agencies. I hope that this helps everyone involved. We also have 879 numbers...

This is the main switch number for the State of Nevada in the Las Vegas area.  Whenever a state agency (and it doesn't matter which agency) makes a call this will be the number that shows up on caller ID.  I don't believe it receives incoming calls which would explain why it is busy or rings endlessly.

THIS LADY CALLED MY BUSINESS ASKING IF MY COMPANY GAVE OUT FLYERS AND SUCH OUT ON THE STRIIP  AND WANTED TO COME IN FOR AN INTERVIEW ... IT SAID ON MY CALLER ID THAT IT WAS STATE OF NEVADA

I got a call from 702-486-4000 and they left a long message on my phone about some specials they have for cleaning my carpet.  i don't know..the caller ID said Nevada State of something..

I got a call from 702-486-4000 and they left a message about some specials they have for cleaning my carpet. They did not leave a phone number, I was suppose to press a number and leave a voice message for them to call me back and make an appointment.  I am on the do not call registry. And I reported this number to https://www.donotcall.gov/.

The call I received from this number is an automated sales call from a carpet cleaning company.

702-486-4000 is a Nevada State phone number.
Who ever is spoofing this number is a scammer.  Usually gives a long recorded speel about carpet cleaning deals.
Change your phone number a couple of times each year and keep of limit distribution.

702-486-4000 is a Nevada State switchboard number.  Someone is using it illegally or spoofing the number.  Call the number and report the calls to Nevada State.

The area code 702 is Las Vegas and the 486 exchange is a number for the State of Nevada (I worked for the State of Nevada).  Caller ID shows State of Nevada, however the robo call is for a carpet cleaning company.

They're a carpet and duc cleaning company and they call because you're on their client list. Call them back if you want their services or if you want to be removed.

Joe - I'm not falling for your crap. If you are the owner of the business that makes the automated calls, I've put up with them for 4 years. Now I've let the Feds know about you for violating federal law. If I can find a Nevada law you've broken, I'll make sure you get the penalty for that as well.

Your fake accent and poor spelling can't obviate the fact that you have violated the law.
