I also got a call from this scammer about some carpet cleaning special. I'm surprised to see that they got away with this all this time. Calling from a state agency phone and not caught yet?...hmm

someone call this cleaning company and get the name and the address and I will show everyone on this blog how to sue them under the TCPA.

I get this call every couple of months. Says it's a carpet cleaning place. Can't call back, just says: 'This subscriber is not taking calls at this time'. I always hang up, because there is no opt-out option (or maybe I die of boredom before it gets to it)

I think next time, I'll press '2' and make some fake appointments and waste a bunch of their time.

Seems pretty obvious where these calls originate.  Some state employee has enough idle time at his or her desk to make calls on behalf of a carpet cleaning company (probably owned by a relative or friend) and gets a commission for each appointment that is secured.  Suggest the NDI have a look into this -- it truly is annoying -- and a cause for concern, because it does appear on the caller ID to be an official call from a state agency.  I've received about 10 calls from this number on my two business lines.

Nevada DMV calling about a job application I submitted.

Once again..as everyone has stated...its a swtchboard number through the state of Nevada. In my case it was my probation officer. If you get this call...it could be a district attorney...probation...dmv...anything from the state. If they say its carpet cleaning...then its exactly what everyon said...a scam

got this call today and no one left a message.

I just received 7 missed calls. When I call it back it says the person you are trying to reach is not excepting call at this time. Another recorder says this # is no longer in service. What the heck!!!! Does anybody really know who this is??????

I just received 3 calls, all within 5 minutes, on 02/01/2012 between 11:35am and 11:40am. Whoever called (if it is a person) hanged up each time after I responded, without identifying him/herself. I have no idea who that is, and it is very annoying

This is actually Nevada Adult Mental Health free call phone for patient use in their lobby. Charleston and Jones location. She called I missed it and it left a vm of music. I tryed to call back but it doesn't take incoming calls. It then called again, I answered and she told me where she was. Sounds like some patient works for a carpet cleaning company or they are just getting kicks in their crazy state of mind.  Peace

and you got his/her name, badge#--took pic of caller id I hope.  Gaming board would probably be interested that someone's impersonating them--I think it's a scam--the scam debt collector pentagroup financial had same#--I wrote down last year?  Also is violation of some act--since caller id said 'nevada state of'.  His messages include-carpet cleaning, weird political messages, etc.  Scam.

No message and when I called back the number wasn't in service. I hope you get ass raped by aids infected monkeys and DIE SLOW.

Here's the message left on voicemail:

"Five rooms for only $89.95. That's right, I will clean up the 5 rooms for only $89.95. We're also currently having super summer cleaning specials on our tile and grout cleaning, our furniture clleaning, and our air duct cleaning. Please press 2 anytime to take advantage of our terrific offer. You may also press 9 to be removed from our list. Please press 2 now. Thank you."

Either the carpet cleaning a**holes are spoofing the State of Nevada #, or some state employee is making these robocalls on the sly.

I got a call from this number 702-486-4000 and the dialer said it was the State of Nevada. No one answered and when I tried to call back it said the number was not in service. This State call at 5:45 PM on July 4th is a little weird at best.
