I received a call from them, and it was an expected reply from the Nevada Secretary of State's office.  I had left a question about their website at their voicemail, and a state employee returned my call via 702-486-4000.  The call wasn't "Unknown" but the list of choices in the "Call Type" box is very scanty, and doesn't include the possibility of a very legitimate returned call...

got a call today, it was nevada power informing about a deposit added to my account.

Got a call from that number and a msg was left and caller knew my name. Said hi, his name was Brett with NV dept of taxation. Please give him a call at 702-486-6866.

When I google that number it comes up with child's welfare office. ????

If it's legit I guess they'll mail me something.

They ask for money , said  they were Nevada general attorney and I have 3 felonies class A,B,C  even  give me a court day and address to Las Vegas city court, it's a scam

This is the trunk line for the State of Nevada.  It shows on all calls leaving the Grant Sawyer state building.  You can't call it back.  Some of the agencies are the Attorney General's Office, Gaming Control Board, Personnel, Taxation, Secretary of State etc.

I just received one this morning about a "Mr.Cole" re-opening a case of mine, and that he"needs me to send a copy of my other case, or whatnot." I haven't even recieved a parking ticket, let alone "commit fraud as a small buisness owner." The only buisness I've got is making sure I show up to my 9-5 everyday. And let me note again, "or whatnot." Mr. Investigator, sir, A+.

Received a call from 702-486-4000 from a lady saying her name is Estella and she is calling from the nevada department of taxation, saying that i am  missing a couple of tax forms and she needs to update my address she left this on m y voice mail but she told me to call her back at 702-486-2765 but she called from 702-486-4000. i called 702-486-4000 and my call does not go through to anything? can someone please tell me whois number 702-486-4000 this is and whois number 702-486-2765 is please? please post information that is correct. thank you. may 2018 this happened. thank you.

every day I get a call fm this number & sometimes more yhan once in a day. It leads to a clothing line called STYLEWE

This is a call from government agency from the state of Nevada,  You can't call back but it is a valid number that a lot of the state government in Vegas use to call people about lots of stuff you might have with the state or benefits.

Just got a call from (702) 486-4000, didn't pick up and they didn't leave a voice message. I'm going to guess that some call center is spoofing the number.

It seems that you have never heard of "Caller ID Spoofing" so I think you might want to look it up.

Just received a call from this number and answered. It is the irs for our business taxes. But I’m assuming any gov agency would show that number.

These scammers have been using this spoofed number since 2007 and are back to using it again.  Do not answer this number.  If the state wants to get a hold of you they will send a letter just like all the other government agencies including the IRS.  This call is not from the State of Nevada.
