call, but no one responds when picked up

i missed this call when i got so thought of calling this back but engaged tone....no responds.

Just got a call from this # my caller ID said it was "Dale City   VA"
One more clue to this mystery?

They called my son's phone, We don't answer unknown numbers but I'm glad I don't have to worry about calling this number back. How do we nail them on the "do not call list"?

No message was left, and Caller ID just showed #.

File a report on the FCC website.

Some poopiehead called me from this numbr jus now.  I wanna dig out my wallet and sue their off!!!

They called more than once!!!!! What can we do????

Picked up on 3rd ring..............line sounded "dead".  No one on the other end. What the heck good is a do not call list anyway?  These cretins don't care!!

Further information..........unpublished number originating in Woodbridge Virginia.  This number belongs to a Sprint cell phone.

Glad I have CALL SPY that alerts me to nuisance callers. Need a low cost blocker.

Received call from this number, let it ring so they would be charged for the call, hung up on them without answering. Made me feel really good.

They called and rang three times, by the time I got to the phone they hung up left no message as my machine answered.

Call came in...left no message on my ans machine???

I receive a call periodically from this caller "Alex Schiver". Is it really "Alex Schriver"? who knows. Boiler shop call centers have gotten more sophisticated in their techniques, even buying other identities to fool you into thinking the call is from a different source. I even receive a call from another call center that manages to announce the names from my automated caller ID. They will stop at nothing. Often times these calls are computer generated to determine when it is the best time for a "real" call center employee to call you back. Every time you answer the phone you provide them with this info.

Alex Shriver is the National Chairman for College Republican National Committee.  This group continues to call several times on a day.  The organization tries to recruit college kids to work for them to help with making calls and raising funds.  Ironically, they are not familiar with the National Registry List of "Do Not Call".  http://www.crnc.org  There is no number to call to remove your name from a list nor is there a area to do this on their website.  The only way to stop is when they call to ask them to remove you from their list.
