Absolutely spot-on you are correct the scam to the highest degree it's not the National Rifle Association. It's the National Recovery Agency

This is NRA Group, LLC and goes by both National Recovery Agency or National Recovery Associates so that their phone number shows up as NRA. They are an aggressive Debt Collector! They will not answer their phone if you call them back at the number on Caller ID, they only have an answering machine that plays a fake message to make you THINK they are the NRA so when they call back, you answer thinking it is the actual NRA.
This is NOT the National Rifle Association! The National Rifle Associations real number is (800) 672-3888 and direct numbers from them all have (703) 267-XXXX format! They only call members that ask for a callback with the 267-XXXX numbers so unless you called the NRA first asking to be called back you will NEVER get a non (800) 672-3888 call from them! I am a Life Beneficiary Level NRA Member for over 30 years.

Scam, and harassing calls. Even blocking the number

I don’t have debt either but my father in law has an extensive amount of it. I have gotten these calls asking how to track him down. My parents and sisters have as well. After my family started freaking out over it I spoke to them once and told them he died and to go call one of the other siblings of my wife who is a dead beat. Got them to leave us alone for almost six months.

NOT NRA! NRA does not make calls. It is a spam/scam/phishing call.

Call came in 6:30 PM called earlier didn't answer name came up "Not Unassigned"  blocked it

Just got voice message lady sounded drunk saying hey [***].....I just can’t I just can’t then it cut off very strange

Did not recognize #, caller did not leave a message.  Blocked this number.

The telephone rang and my callet id said it was from the phone number 703-988-6387. I answer the phone identified myself and said how my help you, there was a pause, identifying as a telemarketer of course. A man came on the line and say hello can I speak to Mr. Sadler. I said this is he, What can I do for you.?

The caller said “yes sir please be advised that This call will call maybe monitored or recorded.”

I hung up. Telling me that I am Being recorded is not the way to keep me on the phone. How stupid can they be?

Received a call today at 4:51 p.m.  Caller hung up when answering machine picked up.

The NRA's real phone numbers are 800-672-3888 and 877-672-2000.  The 703-988-6387 number belongs to the telemarketing firm they hired.  We can all start inundating the NRA with complaint calls and maybe they'll stop their telemarketing.  They are only open during VA working hours, M-F though.

This is not the National Rifle Association.  They use emails and postal mail to get ahold of people. Never do they use the telephone.  So I would say this is a scam.  This NRA probably stand for; Negociable Ripoff Ass'.

Got a cold call at 6:45am no msg left.
Called it back and a recording saying something about your right to bear arms I hung up.

This aggressive National Recovery Association (bogus) debt collection agency apparently will stop at little to scam you into taking their calls. This is yet another number they are now iuing... caller ID says "NRA Update".   Definitely a shady operation, as I have no debt and have not had any for well over 30 years!   Haven;'t been lat on any payment ever!

Thanks for the info.  I, too, am a REAL NRA member.  The REAL NRA always leaves me a message if they have contacted me.

I am an NRA member and have gotten many calls from the company the NRA has hired to solicit for them (IMC) that do not leave messages.  I have also gotten calls from the NRA itself that did not leave a message.  The person you are replying to posted here 5 years ago which makes that information, assuming it is accurate, stale as well.  I have to wonder how many of the posters in here actually have spoken to the callers and can say with absolute certainty that it was a debt collector and not the actual NRA or their hired mouthpiece.
