What does calling back prove.  Numbers are easily falsified.  I even receive scam calls where my caller ID shows my own name and number.

How strange, I just got a notification from Smith and Wesson advising me that several different prefixes and telephone numbers are from the NATIONAL RECOVERY ASSOCIATION and are scamming you in believing that they are NRA, NATIONAL RIFLE ASSOCIATION. The earlier mention preys on the illiterate, the stupid, and the naive.  Believe what you want but S&W wouldn't have contacted me to tell me a lie.

I do not want these people calling my cell phone.  They steal my minutes and annoy my peace of mind.  I have no idea who they are for sure.

Caller ID says the call is from "URGENT ALERT".  Trying to disguise the caller as EMS Alert.  It's NRA advertising.  I'm NOT going to renew my membership after they try these agressive sales tactics.

4/14/15 ID "Unknown caller" from 703 988 6387. Called 4/13/15 from 703 291 9005. No doubt same jerks that just change their number.We continue to push "answer" then immediately "off" which has decreased the calls considerably.   We just can't see paying for a blocking device; we have even wondered if some of the calls are from the companies that sell the blocking devices....oh no. getting paranoid. Guess it is just something we will have to deal with until some brain comes up with a permanent solution.

It say National Riffle Association but scammers lie all the time to steal from you ! I have been a member of the real NRA and they never ever call period ! They don't even have my number. I have spoke to these people and they say National Recovery Agency but when you call them you get a recording National Riffle Assocition. That in it's self tells you it's a scam to steal from people, when I talked to them they claimed I owed a debt and were a debt recovery and wanted banking info, at which time I hung up and reported them ! You can't believe everything you here or are told !
