Phone solicitors have a job to do.  The should NEVER be rude.  Best bet for a true telemarketer is to move on to the next number.  I did this type of work while in college.  I would rather you tell me right away you are not interested.  I can then move along to the next number.  It is a numbers game.  And non-profit organizations are not regulated by do not call list.

Twice this week (week of 09/24-09/26)I received a phone call from the same number.No one said anything. When I called it back, the line was busy.
I waited about 2 hours and called again. THis time the telephone constantly rang.

I have received similar calls for about 2 months now.  The calls come in at random times - from 10am until 9:30 pm - and some guy either hangs up or says something unintelligible and then hangs up.

Any suggestions how to stop the call?  The phone company told me they can't do anything because it's a cell #.

I believe this a theft.  I give money once, but he won't stop calling.  When I pick up the phone this time he hangs up, then calls again and try to solicit additional funds from my wife.

Please stop this caller.

A call from 704-248-9016 @ 7:30 pm 10/29/07. They hung up when I answered.

Continue to call and not leave messages.  When we call back they don't answer.  
This is no legit org.

I'm tired of receiving these unsolicited calls.

Just received a call from 704-248-9016, guy called my by my last name and when I ask who he was he stated that it was just a "COURTESY" call and hung up. I called back and got busy and then it rang out.

I just received a call at 3:54 pm.  No one said anything when I answered and when I tried to call the number back, it just rang and range.

I have HAD IT with this person calling my house!  I have hung up, told this person to put me on the do-not-call-list, etc..  They will not give up!  When I try to call back, no answer!  #704-248-9016.

They keep calling me after I spoke with them three times and told them I was no longer intrested in anything. They just called again no message left and nothing on id except for charlotte but intresting enough if says is a residential phone number on anywho reverse look up. maybe its there station phone but three times is three times of NO

Have been receiving calls off and on for over a year. Have come to the conclusion that if a man answers the phone the caller will just hang up or say he called the wrong number. Caller would rather talk to a woman thinking that he has a better chance to get a donation. Firefighters assoc. should be ashamed to be part of this SCAM....

After writing my comments yesterday, I have linked another number to this mess. That phone number is 704-927-2275.Both numbers are doing the same thing and work for the same company. All of us need to complain directly to the Firefighters Assoc. located on Monroe Rd. Tell all firemen that you might come in contact with about this problem. Spread the word...

After writing 2 comments concerning getting phone calls from both 704-248-9016 and 704-927-2275 which are both collecting money for the Firefighters Assoc.. I have learned that both numbers belong to a company called FIRECO INC. Oddly enough the company shares the same building with the Firefighters Assoc..STRANGE BEDFELLOWS I THINK
