Got a call from 704-248-9016 at 7:30 pm 6/9/10.  Caller ID said Charlotte.  We do not answer calls that we don't recognize, so it went to the answering machine, and of course the caller hung up.  Because of this site I now know who was calling, but the interesting thing is that I am in a completely different area code, and live more than 1.5 hours from Charlotte.

The next time I will answer.  It won't be pretty.  Trust me on that, and the more they call, the nastier I will become.  And I can be... VERY. NASTY.  

Just ask my hubby... ;)

Calling constantly. Finally answered. Caller id'd himself and stated he was from Hickory FFA. I told him straight out that I was unemployed thenhe cops attitude and tells me I am assuming something. I told him no I wasn't. He then states that he was calling to remind me to change smoke det. batts.
Man's an AH.

This same number keeps calling.. Says they are fire department. I just keep cussin at them so maybe they will stop calling...

Here you go, info on Rob Nardone. I didn't answer when they called me today, but I did call back and got a machine that said "Thank you for calling the Charlotte Firefighter's Association."

I'd just rather go to the fire station and write them a check on the spot. That way I KNOW my donation is going where it's supposed to!

Stop calling all hours of the day

I just received a call from 704-248-9016, 4/4/11 at 6:47p. When I said, "Hello", there was noise in the background and the person on the phone just kept doing a creepy laugh until they hung up.

this # keeps showing up on our ID at least twice a day and noone says anything either and I would like to  know how to put a stop to this myself. When you call it back it just rings and rings and rings. Stop calling my house.

This number was on my caller ID. I called it and got an answering machine for the Fire Fighters Association. Hmmm....  I have no idea if they're legit or not.

received call on my house #, which i dont even use, from a man who asked for me by name. this was odd immediately because anyone who knows me calls my cell#. he asked if i have working smoke detectors in my house. i advise all smoke detectors are new and i dont need anything. His response, "well thats good would hate for anybody to die from faulty detectors. the whole thing seemed weird so i call back 5 mins later and recvd no answer. i kept on trying for an hour..SHADY

yep-me too-im in newton nc-they called last week 704-248-9016 it showed charlotte on caller id and i called back several times to just ringing that goes to some message center full msg. i was beginning to think it was some other woman trying to get a hold of my fiance thru his cell # he's had forever(he says our house # on his vmail)-LoL-damn, now i have to apologize. i researched it-it is a landline thru time warner cable & it's address is close to belmont in charlotte, nc. i refuse to pay $ to get a name so...  guess we gotta deal with these losers playing games on the phone-hoping and praying they call back again-a good ear-full from me!

They are NOT a 501(c)(3) charity and contributions are not tax deductible.  We are on the do not call list and we've probably received 30 calls in the past month, if not more.  I called the number back and was told that my husband had agreed to pay $78 dollars.  They asked for a money order or cashier's check and a mail date.  Ridiculous behavior.  We are on the do not call list!!  Do not give them money.
