I just received another phone call from this number again and I did as I said and dialed *57 and the message of course says "Your call has been traced.  Please call your Call Annoyance Center blah blah blah."  Well, this was enough times for me doing the call trace to finally call the company, but I then came back here after it wouldn't let me enter the number on my phone's call block service which is *60 and I saw cell phone from when I looked the number up on www.phonevalidator.com and I don't think the call trace works on cell phones.  I will keep trying on my end and I hope that each of you will keep trying on your side to *57 Call Trace - look in phone book front.  Thank you and have a nice day.....HOLD PLEASE I WILL BE "RIGHT" BACK--as she said as she left for lunch... That's crap I worked for fireco in 03 and 04 its a scam maybe not as bad as some other scams but a SCAM indeed!

They have been calling my house for weeks. Some firefighter thing wanting money. I learned long ago that most of these are scam, so I told him no- he got rather rude. I hung up and blocked the number.

I don't think any legitimate charity and representative of a charity would be posting rude comments to people on a website for telemarketing and other annoying phone calls. That in and of itself ruins the credibility of this organization.

Received several calls from 704-248-9016 and hang ups when I answer.  From reading previous posts, I am surprised this has been going on for over 2 years and nothing has been done about it.

Man called asked for me by a name I use for personal things We disconnected and I tried to call back Phone just rang and rang I tried information and they had no info on this no. However thaks to the operator who told me to google it I find Im not the only one I will sleep tonight

I get these calls quite often from 704-248-0916 and they never say anything when I answer just hang up .  I call the number back and it just rings or a busy signal. I'm sick of them.

I received a call from (704) 248-9016. I answered 'Hello?' and I heard a man do an intake of a breath, but he said nothing, and then hung up. I then hit redial on the caller ID, and no one picked up.

Called here today.  When my husband answered, a male voice said "wrong number" and hung up.  Probably wanting to talk to a female.  They will keep calling no matter what you do.

We get these calls occasionally on our home phone and it's very annoying. My husband often answers and interrupts the speech to say, "We're not interested" or "NO thank you" and they caller is often rude or insistent or sometimes just hangs up. Then, they will try calling us again in a few days or weeks. It's been that pattern for MONTHS now, and is incredibly annoying. ESPECIALLY if it's not even a legit non-profit organization. I don't appreciate the frequency or the attitude and I would think logic would indicate if someone says, NO - not interested... you should remove them from your "list" right then and there.

I get calls from these people constantly. The number comes up on the caller ID as (704) 248-9016 showing Charlotte, NC. When you answer, they hang up. I tried calling back and no one answered.

Received a call from this number 704-248-9016 as the rest of the others stated. I too signed up for the National do not call registry,no message was left. I am really growing weary with these calls as I have stated taken the call and ask to be taken off of the list.

I just had a call from this number. When I said "hello", a male voice said "sorry, wrong number" and hung up. This isn't the first time I've seen this number on my caller ID but first time I was home to answer it.

Got a call from same number 704-248-9016 when I called back it just rings... Two can play at those games in fact my phone is still calling the number back I have it on speaker phone at my desk just ringing and ringing I'll let it ring all night!!!

These [***], and that's what these chicken s*&$ people are, hang up when I answer. If my wife answers they hit her up for a donation. REMEMBER - these jerks are pulling your chain and bothering you, if they ask for a donation tell them to get &^$@ed.

I still add them to the do not call list EVERY TIME they call and everyone else should too.

We have been receiving calls from 704-248-9016 my wife in the past gave them a donation, but once I did some checking up on the Fire Fighters fund discovered it is nothing but a scam. When they called the next time I told them what I found out about them and yes they hung up on me. Now they call and check to see if my wife answers or myself. Sure enough they talk to my wife and hand up on me. they just called up 5min ago on June 1st 2010. We need to get this stopped!
