I got a call from the same number asking for my wife. She was not at home so the guy said "I’ll call her back" and I didn't have any chance to ask for anything. He just hanged up immediately.

Received a call from them also. When we answered they just hung up.

How about just removing all those who ya'll keep calling and hanging up on. It's enough of my time wasted answering the phone and getting hung up on without having to call ya'll to get you to quit calling me.

Same as all the others, pick up the phone and no one there.  I am happy to support our firefighters, if this is who is making the call, but they need to ask, not hang up on us.

Received phone call from 704-927-2275, when I answered the phone, there wasnt anyone on the other end. I called the number back and all I got was dead silence. This is VERY annoying, especially on a Sunday Evenging when I am having dinner with my family... How would the person on the other end of my phone feel if I called there home on a Sunday evening and hung the phone in his/her ear when they answered not to mention interupted their dinner?
I am assuming that DNC list isnt working either. If this business is wanting donations, perhaps they should figure out a more "friendly" and "business like" method of contacting individuals at there home, and try NOT calling on a Sunday, don't they realize this IS a day of REST?

I just got a call today 10/01/07 and they left no message. I do not answer calls unless I know who they are. I searched in whitepages and found nothing. Then Googled it and found this website.

We received a call today from this number.  They asked if this was a business and then said that they have the wrong number and hung up.

Same thing, got a call...tried to call back and got nothing...no ring.  So, I called the operater and he could not get through either.

Received call on my home caller id.  When I returned call, dead silence.  This happen at least twice a week.

Okay, I just got the same type of call here at home, for the third time:  It rang three times, I picked up, caller listened, then caller hung up without responding. (This wasn't an autodialer situation, where the dialer is faulty; I'm very familiar with those, through my past career as a collector.)  I Googled the number, and found this site.  I then Googled FireCo, and located their Tennessee headquarters number ((615) 794-0080), called, and talked to 'Sam', who also confirmed these were manual dial-outs, and that the workers making the calls were paid on an hourly basis.  We discussed the situation; he said he was unaware of the hang-ups, and I directed him to this website.  He advised he would immediately contact the manager of the local office to determine why this was occurring.

If this is a company (legitimate or not) soliciting $$$ for the CFD, then you have to ask how much of your donation is actually going to the CFD, and how much is going to the company making the ANNOYING phone calls !?!?!?!?!? They hang up on me when I answer.

Received a call from 704-927-2275.  We are on the do not call list, and don't want to receive telemarketing or any type of solicitation calls.

These folks that are calling are trying to get a woman to answer the phone because they think women are an easier touch for a money contribution. They also will call from 704-248-9016. I have received more than 30 calls in the past year. Somehow there should be a law against this..If enough people complain directly to the Firefighers assoc. located on Monroe Rd., maybe changes would be made.If any of you know a firefighter personally, complain....

how rude call and hang up...... I've seen this number numerous times myself and wish they would stop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I received a call today from this number. Once I picked up, they hung up.  When I tried to call the number, it will not ring, just dead silence.  Whomever it is, it's very rude to call someone's home and hang up.  Get a life. Nobody has time for those games.  The number was 704-927-2275.

We get calls from this number all the time. But there's nobody on the other end. How can I go about stoping to receive calls from this number?

This number is related to the "Firefighters".  I have called twice to have our number removed from their computer call list.  They stopped for about 2 weeks.  They are calling again repeatedly now.  They have a 242 exchange that they call from also.  How do you make it stop?  We have all the do not calls on our phone to no avail.
