Once you sign the contract. You are giving them permission. That if you do not make your payments. They can come and repossess the vehicle. So the they can liquiate your your debt. However, here in the state of Texas. They are required to send cure ltters. That will give you a notice. You have to get it taken care in 10 days. If you do not respond. They will send for vehicle to be repossessed.

I completely agree with you. I get calls from random phone numbers multiple times a day.. I was FOUR days late this time and they decided to call everyone in my family to tell them to call me. I hate this company, but then when I visit a local bank to pay my bill, they are sooo helpful. They need new people at the call centers. Each one of my family members called back with the number and a DIFFERENT name.. If you're going to call me, please speak ENGLISH.

YES --- i get a call from this number on a daily basis, at my work and home.  I don't mind them calling me at home but wow- they've been calling my work too.  It's so embarassing.  And also, I'm only few days late.  My payment is due on the 7th and is only the 16th but they've been calling me since the 14th!! Unbelievable!

I just got a call from that number today....about 10 minutes ago.
NEVER heard of the number plus don't know anyone in Texas.
The funny thing is that we DO NOT have anything to do with Chase.
Our auto loans are with our LOCAL bank here in Wisconsin.
And we are up to date with our payments.
Funny how companies end up with cell phone numbers.
I am going to have to check out the DO NOT CALL list again.
Probably won't help but don't hurt to try.

Got a call from this 713-216-0248 # and didn't recognize it & didn't answer. I've never been late on my acct,(knock on wood), in fact I'm usually 1-2 weeks early on payment.  Don't know why I'm getting these calls and I want them to stop!!!!

Yes, it's a legit call from Chase Auto Finance if you have payment problems. My automatic payment stopped paying automatically due to some glitch and I got a call from this number, as well as another call from 602-221-2234

Get a call from Chase auto Finance when im a few days late on payment, my payment was due on 12/25 they called me the 26th harrassing me about the payment, well times are hard screw faces! They will get the money when i get the money, im in the process of trying to sell my car because of the economy, heh oh well, im hoping something will turn out in the end

I disagree about that local branches.  I have left message after message for the manager(s) at the call center and also at the local branch.  When I first setup my checking/savings at the local branch - everyone in the facility greeted me and the manager had said if I ever needed anything --- don't hesitate to call.  When I do, never receive a call back...  CHASE IS HORRIBLE!  Won't EVER do business with them again.

This is why I never gave them any other number than my cell phone. They call me constantly, but I just ignore them until I have the money to pay. No need to have someone yell at me when there's nothing I can do about it.

These jerks have been calling me for a long time now... day and night, weekends, sunday during church etc..  They call me for a car loan that is only a few days late or so.  I documented one day 22 calls with voicemail from them in one DAY!  I just ignore them....  Finally got some retribution with this.. I bought phone block service with all the numbers they disguise themselves as.  I hate CHASE autofinance and will NEVER get a loan from them again.  I spoke with their reps many times to stop harrassing me and gave them the federal statute on "excessive" calling.  I am actually looking to file suit once I accumulate my phone records from my service provider.  My lawyer really wants to crack down on this kind of abuse.  He hates CHASE autofinance as much as I do so we should have a pretty good case against them.   Gonna suck tons of money from them.... deservingly so!  Make them pay and leave everyone alone for a change.

I know exactly what you are talking about.  I called PRIOR to my due date and told them I would be 2 weeks late on my payment.  They still called me all day long and even after they got my payment, some punk called and asked me why it was late.

Rw, ask them to give you a later due date.

i guess this means that someone put MY number on their loan... just got a call, i didnt answer, but no message.

And they got some guy to leave 3 threatening phone calls on my answering machine.
I don't take well to threats.  I will pay them when I have the money.

Right now, the credit card companies and the banks are driving consumers to bankrupcy and to no longer spend, driving companies out of business.  Wish the government would forgive individual debt as easily as they handed over our tax money to bail the corporations out.

I hope you are able to make a successful suit because the harrassment is so bad.  At work, on my cell, at home.  I just make my payment and don't contact them.  At this point, I have no respect for any of these corporations.  They can get US Taxpaying dollars to bail them out, get the government to take their debt and continue to harass people.

As soon as I can pay off everything I owe Chase, I'm done with them.  But I don't know what bank to go to know.  They are all full of it. : (

I have started getting about 5 calls from this number every day.  I finally answered one.  They said it was Chase Auto Loan.  The person they asked for is not me, and I have never heard of them.  I have NEVER had a car loan.  I asked yesterday that they take the number off their list and not call again.  I got three more calls today and answered one again.  The person said he was calling from AZ.  I threatened that if I recieve another, I will call the AZ or TX attorney general/state's attorny.  He seemed pretty flustered with that one.
