They leave a Different No. To Return a call to ! I called the Place that Sold the Account & They Did Not Sell the Account to  them or know them. They gave the Right Phone No. & Name !Some thing Stinks here.

They called my cell a few times, and my parents house. now they are calling my sisters' cell phone which is unlisted.Said they were from the Law office of Curtis Barnes, and it concerned a very important legal matter. Wonder how many other people in my family they are calling. And my family is probably trying to figure out what I did. I live in Illinois, they are from California they said.  i talked to them yesterday, and theywanted to know all personal information. said i owned on a debt, that i don't know about.asked them for a letter to prove it. and they said they sent it. told them i never received such a letter and wanted another one. and they said they sent one. wanted to know what my sister did for a living and i refused to tell them. so they got upset. told me i needed to pay 1500 for something i don't know. wanted my bank account and i refused, they became upset. told me they could conference call a family member to get to pay it for me. and i refused everything because i had no idea what they are talking about. told me i had to 7pm to call them back and pay.

Someone named "Mr. Horsey" left a vmail at 12:30 PM asking me to verify information (didn't say what) about a next door neighbor.  Didn't identify himself or his organization, but my caller ID showed "Law C Barnes." I didn't respond.

DONT ANSWER OR GIVE INFO!!! someone from this number called me and new my name and my boyfriends dads name! HOW WEIRD!!! and wanted me to call back info about Him.. WHY? he isn't related to me.  They basically wanted me to call back and give info about him and myself.. and take it from me to do something with it. :/ kinda scarey!!!!

Debt collector trying to use wife's maiden name for a "matter" in this office, debt was paid off, yey sleezoids continue to call.

They have been calling my parents home everyday...when i called them they were forceful, arrogant, over talking me, degrading and very much not professional, they threated me with sueing me, garrnishing my wages and just did not want to hear anything I had to say...it was very frightful for my parents....

What if I gave info (yes, I know totally foolish, but they scared the heck out of me)...anyone have suggestions???

i keep getting calls from this person named asking for my daughter in law i give her the phone # . how can i stop these calls ? i do not give them any info and ask that they not call again.
what else can i do to stop these annoying calls?

Back in Nov 2011 we got a call from this Law C Barnes man named Mr Edwards. He informed me that they sent a letter and had gotten returned. I informed he sent it to the address, we get mail to a P.O. Box. Mr Edwards called me a lier..Proceeded to tell me my husbend had a debt with then..I then asked for a letter of Valadation. Well that pissed him off..Just started yelling at me. I hung up..With in min. he called my husbend at work..my husband informed him he couldnt be taking personel calls at work..He threaten my husband with a lawsuit once again my husband informed not to be calling him at work. Mr Edwards continued to yell at my husband. My husband told him to have a nice day and hung up. 2 days later he called his work again this time the owners wife answered the phone, he asked for my husband, said it was Law C Barnes office, she informed him he couldnt take his call, he then started to threaten her that he would serve my husband with papers there at work, he then asked for company address she told him to look it up it's public knowledge he got pissed even more. He asked if she was refusing to give the address, once again she told him it was public knowlege, he hung up on her. Then 3 days later once again he called the house got the answering machine, called my cell phone and then my husband at work. My husband told him he would call him later at his lunch. And he did explain what this was, and wanted him to pay it in full 3100.00 my husband explained he couldnt to that but was willing to send 50.00 a mo..he informed my husband he had this debet, in return my husbnd informed him he is aware of it and not denying it but could not send full amount or 500.00 a mo. The man went off as to asking why? so my husband explain our house was in foreclouser and we are trying to keep our house and we are paying the house first. Mr McDonnley couldnt unerstand why we pay so much for our house. Oh I forgot to tell you McDonnley took over from Mr Edwards. Then proceeded to tell my husband he had excellent credit, No we dont. So long story short they refused 50.00. a week lated Now Mr Edwards calls okay we will take it the 50.00 a mo for 5mo. Then now we get calls from Mr McDonnley wanting full payment, once again informed we couldnt do that, he then threatens a lawsuit and will take 30% of my husbands pay. My husband told him you do what you have to do I cant pay you right now. you can continue to take the 50.00 out of our checking account. Nope was not good enough. So, Mr McDonnley calls me, as I explained I will not make any arrangement with out my husband and I talk and that we were not in no position to pay infull. He asked why we cant, told him the house pytment and paying the kids college, well this house pyt there is no reason why its so high, All I could do is laugh. And then I asked him are we not to have Electric or food on our table so as long as we pay you...Oh my god he just start screaming at me..how dare I call him insenstive, I said I didnt those are your words not my, I just asked a question. So needles to say, he hung up but befor that he informed he will turn this over to there lawyer..and hung up on me. So here we wait to get the papers and then we will get a lawyer for us. He also refused to take my offer to his client, my offer was to settle the account for half.

I'm going to try that the next time!!!!  Love it...you did great!

These people keep calling me and for what reason I still don't know They need to stop wasting my time and invading my privacy

Never talk to a debt collector they will twist your words..they cannot garnish your wages without a judgement from the courts..they cannot threaten you with lawsuit and never proceed with one they are not allowed to call you at work especially if you have told them you are not allowed to take personal calls..they cannot discuss nothing with any family member..they must validate the debt first before you say you will pay anything..you are protected by the law please don't let these vultures terrorize you... I have been through this and learned alot..mine debts btw went deliquent when my husband had open heart surgery..they could have cared less...

These people are calling my son in law and my daughter asking for my phone number. I am curious as to how they got my son in laws number as I barely remember it. They have been told by both my daughter and son in law that they can't give out any information yet they continue to call them. More than annoyed!!!!

I received a call - just moved in and getting a lot of calls for loser who had my number previously and owes a lot of money

Call from Sophia - saying that she needed to update "their records" with information on a relative of mine -  left a voice message with 866-477-8222 ext 607 being the contact number and asking me to return this urgent call --Did not identify the Company name - or why they needed to update "their records".

I googled the phone number which was listed as C Barnes  224-5150 -   saw the information and I am adding my complaint.
