I have a service from Cox, my telephone service called Selective Call Rejection. I can add up to 31 calls that will be rejected, when the number that I added calls it states to the caller "I am not receiving any messages at this time." I use to use Do Not Call, but that is a waste of time, never solves anything. Check this site out for more information on the system, if your telephone company does not offer "Selective Call Rejection" there are systems that you can use, this is just one that will explain how it works. Since I have used it, and I have 12 numbers list today, never receive any calls from anyone I do not want to. You can also remove anyone on your list if you wish at a later date, but 99.9% that I have put on  are Telemarketing calls.

Just got the call today...thank the Lord for caller ID

Got a call today. I am on the do not call list.

This is Bank of America. They are thring to sell you credit card protection insurance.

For the last two weeks, I've been getting calls from this number and no one says anything.

A complainer (on another site) said: "The caller is (Cellco Partnership DBA Verizon Wireless - CA). If you have service w/ Alltel or Verizon or had service. You are getting solicited by them."

I Started getting those calls two weeks ago. They keep calling almost every day and never leave a message....As such I'll never answer them...Let them keep calling--they'll get nowhere.

Out of being Annoyed, I finally answered them. They turned out to be calling on behalf of Bank of America--soliciting me with a number of offers!
I asked them to never call me again. I hope they'll stop.

If A (above complainer) is correct, then I guess it's a company being hired by others for solicitations.

Call multiple times a day.  Today they called 4 times.  No one answers when you pick up, and it is a busy signal when you call it back.  Never do they leave a message.  It's more annoying than anything.

This outfit has been hounding me with daily phone calls, which I let go to the machine. Finally, I honked a stadium horn in their ear and hung up. Maybe they'll get the message.

August 19, 2009 at 10:50 AM EST this number called my home and did not leave a message. I traced the call to a cell phone in Santa ana, Ca.
I am also on the do not call list

Have received MANY calls from this number.  Finally answered one today and after a long pause they asked for me.  I ended up hanging up on them. They have never left a message the other times they have called.

caller state he was from Bank of America(I was not home) Callrt said I could NOT call him back.
Caller Bank of America cuctomer service.  They seemed to know nothing of this.  Weird.

At 5:30 pm received a call from 1-714-380-5400 I answered but the chicken on the other end did not ....... i guess mr. chick sh......t ...

My son picked up the phone.  After a long pause a woman with an Indian accent asked for me.  (Mangled my name.)  She said she was calling from Bank of America.  My son offered to take her name and number to have me call her back -- our favorite technique with telemarketers.  She declined, as they always do.  Said she'd call again.  We'll know next time not to pick up.  Incidentally, we are on the "do not call" list.

they call every day, at least twice a day. on the nj do not call list--like that makes a difference. i have caller id and dont answer numbers i dont recognize. they never leave a message.

I'm calling from Bank of America Credit Card. We have a new promotion that you can get $300.00 on your credit card in the event you got married, sick or disabled. The monthly charge is $19.00.
Interestingly, the representative provided what appears to be the last four digits of my credit card and asks me to provide my date of birth, and other vital information. I told her no. Just use what you already on your file and I hung up.

I agree, the "Do Not Call" list seems pretty useless. By the way, it is a voluntary list, from what I understand. It does not obligate businesses to take you off their list. Rather, businesses may choose to use the list to avoid soliciting people who don't want to talk to telemarketers.

Caller said he was calling on behalf of the company that issued my credit card (not true), and that they wanted to offer me credit card protection features that I do not currently have. I indicated that I wasn't interested and hung up. I am on the DO NOT CALL registry.

Have been receiving calls from this number on a regular basis, several times a day, even though I am on the DO NOT CALL registry. Since I have caller ID I never pick up the phone.
