Here we have yet another response from WWR, right?  You work for WWR, right, "no name"?  Obviously WWR is monitoring this site and just as obvious they have something to be concerned about otherwise why would they be monitoring it?  Why would Chief not believe it's a legit company?  Because what legit company would post under "no name"?  What legit company would accuse our brave fighting men and women of being "a robot in the US Military", when they put their lives on the line every day to protect your right to spew filth?  What legit company would accuse someone of not having a brain because they want to do their duty for the rest of us?  The illegitimate garbage known as WWR, that's who.  (BTW, illiterate, it's not "Not to brilliant" it's "Not too brilliant."  Instead of wishing that god bless someone, maybe you should try to go back and finish grade school.)

Actual call came from 714-380-5865 at about 4pm today, name was Matt Johnson, said he was a manager at WWR and associates in Santa Ana Calif.and gave me a CEO's name of Trent James when I pushed for higher ups.  Says my employee is a defendant in a civil suit and they are trying to serve him but they can't reach him.  Wants me to give him a message to call back so they don't have to come to his work.  Claims they are not debt collectors and will not divulge the name of the person taking action on the debt, they have just been retained to serve the notice.  I will tell my employee what is happening, but will not, based on this set of information, advise him to call them.
As I have told them this is a hospital, I will inform them it is not acceptable to call here again, and will turn in to FTC if they do not adhere to my request.
I took notes, and my phone service is available from the hospital mainframe if it is needed for other actions for someone.  Please let me know.

I just got a call from them, but it was a recorded message saying that they've been calling and leaving messages for me (they haven't) and that if I didn't return their phone call that they "couldn't help me". I immediately thought something was fishy, so I googled WWR and the phone number. Man, what a crock.

I just got a message from this company.  I never heard of them and owe no money except for my mortgage (which is current).  I am glad that I had the opportunity to read all these posts.  They gave me until 10:00 am tomorrow to call them back or they wouldn't help me (Help me with what?)  It was either a wrong number or they are trying to hook someone else to their scams

I got a call on my desk phone from Matt Johnson at WWR, phone number 714-380-5865, stating if I didn't call back and get this matter resolved, they would involve my employer. I am completely debt free and don't even have a mortgage. These calls should be ILLEGAL!

Received numerous calls from this company over the past few months. They deceptively use alternating area codes and phone numbers to disguise their identity on caller ID. They sometimes use a prerecord voice message via an IVR asking for you to "retrieve this message" by calling 949-812-4680, not supplying an 800 # as FDCPA requires. They leave voice messages and call with no messages multiple times on the same day, also an FDCPA violation. They do not identify themselves on the recordings or even when you call them, which again is another FDCPA violation. They also block their number when calling as unknown, and a feminine sounding man requests a call back referencing your property address, saying he (or she) has a question about the property address, deceptively alluding to other reasons for the call to prompt you to return the call. This company has never mailed a letter to me to identify the purpose of their contact, which again is an FDCPA violation. The FDCPA requires the agency to send a Debt Validation Notice to the consumer within 5 days after contact. The Validation Notice provides the consumer with information pertaining to the contact, who is contacting you and why, and provides the consumer with their rights to dispute the validity of any debt, etc. This notice (or any other notice) was never sent to me.

I called this company back and spoke with a man who had a heavy Hispanic accent, who was very rude and over talked me. He refused to identify the company or the reason for the calls, laughed and hung up on me. Not even an hour after my contact with this man my wife and I started receiving calls as if we were calling each other. I called our phone company and they confirmed we were victims of "Spoofing". It is a terrible coincidence that right after I called and spoke with this company my wife and I started receiving such calls; especially when this company calls us repeatedly using fictitious numbers that they program into their software in an effort to misrepresent themselves to get you to answer the phone.

I also mailed them a certified letter demanding that they Cease and Desist to the address listed and it came back rejected. I called and spoke with the post office in that city zip code and the carrier confirmed that the company in question "refuses to accept certified mail". This is just another example of their deceptive practices.

I have filed a complaint with the FTC, Attorney General, and other regulatory agencies. I URGE all of you to file such complaints with regulatory agencies so they will investigate this entity and bring them to justice. There is strength in numbers and we ALL need to fight back!

wow thank you so much for this info. I have been recieving phone calls from these numbers demanding me to pay them. I asked them to send me proof of my debt, an itemized statement, they said they cant do that. They call everyday. One guy was so rude yelling at me. I called back and told them that they picked the wrong girl to eff with. Im so glad I found this site, thank you.

I got a call from Matt Johnson also! I hope they get what they deserve, and not our hard earned money!!!

Matt Johnson and wwr@associates should be punished. My mother had just passed away the day before I started getting these calls. I feel I could sue them for mental anguish!!!

A guy named Jonathan Doran just called me and left a very rude message.  I knew it was a scam so I wanted to call back and mess with him...and boy did I.  He was trying to talk tome about a cc that I supposedly opened 5 yrs ago and the payments fell delinquent. Never owned a cc by the company he was talking about and never missed a cc payment. Told him that I was typing a blog post as we spoke about how corrupt he and his organization were and to please humor me and keep talking. He was actually at a loss for words when I revealed what I was doing and eventually hung up.

These people are really getting annoying. I'm glad I found these postings. I had a message on my home phone on Wednesday and again today. The message on Wednesday was left by "Tina". She said she was calling from Worldwide Recovery. Her message was very snotty and unprofessional. She instructed me to call her back at 714-380-5894 regarding important information about my account. Today, the call was from "Jeanie". I coudn't understand most of her message. But she said that she was with WWR & Associates and has been trying to send me legal documents, but has been unsuccessful in doing so. She gave me a call back number of 866-897-9080 ext. 867. Her message instructed me to call by 10:30 tomorrow morning to keep my case out of court. Apparently, I already have a docket number! LOL  932587-CA-11. Really??  

If you can...check your credit report. Luckily...I'm in the process of trying to get my life back together and got all 3 reports on 2/9/11. After getting these messages and reading this post...I checked my report to see what kind of debt they could possibly have on me. The answer...NOTHING!!!!  What they did was run a Credit Inquiry on my. It has only shown up under Equifax (so far). There is not one item on my report that has been purchased by them. I'm actually in communications with almost every agency/creditor on this report.

Boy are they going to get an earfull tomorrow! I've already reported them to the FTC. I'm checking the FBI site for Extortion Scams. AND I'm reporting them as abusive to Equifax. I think the reporting agencies should know what's happening too.

got a call from this co. looking for some one else with same last name, never heard of the person they were looking for. tried to tell them , never heard of the person, couldn't get it through their thick head, there are probably thousands of people in the usa with my last name.

anyone have an idea what state or federal agency I can report these calls to?  thanks.

I am SO glad I Googled this. I heard from a "Mr. Chris Dozer" today, from 714-380-5877. Same thing - he called my husband yesterday, my employer today, and Man, he got an earful from me when I called him back.

It ended up being on some bogus credit card I didn't owe on anyway.

He wouldn't give me their mailing address and just kept telling me I was going to be served. WOW.

What a crock.

I get calls from WWR & Associates {not same phone number but same company} continually leaving messages for someone who 1) doesn't work here and 2) has never worked her.  

He actually asked me why would a person put down this phone number and address for credit if he didn't work there?

Um, hello? are you a dumb? It's called Identity Theft, people make crap up.

Message from my mother in law:  just want to let you know a guy by the name of mike Wallace has been calling wanting to get a hold of you. He was saying this had something to do with our property . I called this a few min. Ago and I gave him your phone # he said it's the end of the month and maybe he could stop process of serving papers here at the house he  said it has to do with a civil matter. So be warned this guy mike Wallace may be calling you. He wanted your address or know where you live, I said that I don't know. Just wanted to let you know, like I said he said this way maybe they won't serve papers.

I called that Mike and he said she was lying and we were putting words in his mouth!!! I told him we had filed BK and needed the debt & company info so we can provide to our attorney he answered by saying we probably hadn't even paid our retainer!! That's when I realized this whole thing was a scam. I keep asking over & over for the info and he hung up on me!! He may fool older people but not the ones who knows how to google idiots like this! The other creditors we are dealing with are very professional!

It makes me wonder how their credit looks like to be desperate enough to become scam artists! Can't wait until they call back!
