Got two calls with Caller ID showing 714-482-9769 and "Unknown Name."  The calls came in the evening within 15 minutes of each other.

yep, they've been calling me for over a month, all hours - once was 7:30 am on a weekend!  I've picked up the phone twice now when I see their Caller ID come up and it sounds like a busy call center in the background. I have not given them time to realize I picked up the phone - I just hang up. I finally got curious and did a search online today and found this list. I, too, have reported them to the Do Not Call registry at the FTC. I've been on the list since it was offered. My boyfriend loves to play "Simi", a lovely little foreign man of unknown origin, with telemarketers - I think I'll let him loose on this one :)

I received a call from this number this morning....I am also on the do not call list.

one call each week night for the last 4 nights, around 7pm.

I am from Puerto Rico and I am in the DNC registry too. I received the call today. First time. I didn't get the call since I am in a fraud investigation and I was interrogating a suspect. I googled it and I found this blog. I hope it doesn't get annoying. Anyway... will see what happens.

Just starting to get a call from the 714-482-9769 on my cell a few days ago. They are now calling 3 or 4 times each day. Haven't answered since I did not recognize the number.

It was an unfamiliar number so I didn't answer.
No name appeared on the Caller I.D.

they call me 2 times a day, but do not  answer. i have complained but so far no luck

This company collects, stores and processes marketing information. I wonder what they do with it? (Hmm...sell it to telemarketers and other companies?) If you want your personal information to be collected and logged and stored into a database for marketing purposes, just confirm your name and any other personal information they ask for.

Me...I'm on the DNC and will file a complaint. Just because someone says they'e exempt doesn't mean they are telling the truth. Let the FTC be the judge of that.

OK, I went to the Do Not Call web site and it says that companies that collect information to sell to other parties for profit are NOT exempt:

"See, e.g., FTC v. National Consumer Council, Inc., and FTC v. Debt Management Foundation Services, Inc., at http://www.ftc.gov/opa/2005/03/creditcouncel.htm. There, the FTC successfully challenged the status of a purported nonprofit organization whose role in fact was simply to generate leads for other firms which then charged consumers thousands of dollars in fees for their services."

Got 3 calls from 714-482-9769 in 1 minute. No ID on my caller ID.Answered
first time and told them not to call again.Call back 2 more times within
a minute and as soon as I picked up they hung up. Reported them to the
Do Not Call register as I am on the do not call list.

On east coast and rec'd 3 calls at 8:30 at night on my cell, did not pick up as I didn't recognize the number. Googled and found this site. What's it going to take to get some action against these unwanted disturbances!

Now getting calls from Datascension, 714-482-9769, since I started using a freeware downloadable program, "TELEMARKETING BLOCKER" to stop harassment phone calls from NCO Group, Inc., 410-986-0085, and their 800, 888, and 866 TOLL FREE CALLS from the same people.  It's to bad there are people that work at hurting others for no reason other than profit.

i think we're over complicating this.sure it sucks we cant lynch em',but why was cid invented? if you dont know the number,dont bother answering it.screw em!

Two phone calls from datascension on 7/27/07 - I have unlisted number.
I find this very disturbing.

Numerous and frequent unsolicited calls from (714) 482-9769....

I do not answer the calls, but they appear on the caller-ID as from Santa Ana California.

I am on both the National and State DO NOT CALL registry.

I am the COO of Datascension.  We are a market research company that only conducts polls.  We do not conduct any telemarketing and therefore do not use any "do not call list".  However, we never want to harrass.  If you do not wish to participate just simply tell our interviewer and they will remove your name from that project.  We follow strict guidlines as to not harras and are members of www.mra-net.org.

Yep I got 14 calls from them today as recorded on My phone ID log...Also no message and I am also on the do not call list...Its as if they are using that list to make the calls.
