Iowa Attorney General's office has contacted First National Collection Bureau and they are removing my number from their data base.

First National Credit Bureau - operation which attempts to panic people into paying on debts which are in fact no longer collectible. Can't say enough negative things about them.

They have called me from this number and 706-526-4132....They call about 20 times a day and never say anything... And, when you call them back you get a recording.

We get  a call from this number about 3 or 4 times week looking for someone I have never heard of. The pre-recorded message does not give me an option to tell it that they have the wrong number, it just tells me to call then back.
Well today they hit a new low. I picked up the phone to recieve a loud high pitched tone directly into my ear. I called back the number on my caller id and got a person who claims it wasn't them that called. When I asked to get put through to her supervisor, the supervisor told me "it's not our intention to blast a loud tone into your ear" but did not care that my ear is ringing and I can barely hear out of it.

Anymore I do not answer unidentified #s on my phone, especially not my cell phone. Did not answer but did run this through google and found all of you. Will save to my address book as "collection agency" then need not wonder next time.

got a call from "LOCAL OFFICE". I know this is a scam. get the word out!

keep getting calls, no message and when I call back they put you on hold and then say they can't connect..all is automated.

I have constantly gotten calls from this number,714-495-4807 especially during school. ive been trying to block it but i dont know how.

I got a phone call by this number, said about "personal business" and asked to call back Evonne(?).
I have no debt or whatsoever and totally no idea what it was.

They called twice in two days. First National Collections.  Looking for someone who doesn't live here. I told them not to call again as our home number is used for business as well as personal calls. We'll see if they call again.

This is First National Collection Agency - headquarters in Sparks Nevada at 610 Waltham Way 89434 -Apparently they buy old debts that could not be collected in the first place for pennies on the dollar usually from attorneys that can't prove the debt,  and then try every trick in the book.  They even sent me a payment arrangement to see if I would bite on  an alleged debt from 1996.  Don't let them intimidate you all, tell them you are going to contact the Attorney General's Office in your State and find out what the year is for the statute of limitations on credit cards.  Ask them to send you a Verification of Debt along with any original signatures they have plus which would include all fees and interest charges - a breakdown.  You have thirty (30) days to respond.  You can report harrassment and they will have to pay a $1,000.00 fine for every time they continue.  They are not allowed to call your work, neighbors or friends.They pull up in a "skip trace",  this is how they come up with a social security number if your name matches an address.  Also double check all of your three credit reports, they could put it on very easily and if you sell property, the debt would automatically be paid off.  DO NOT LET THEM GET AWAY WITH ANYTHING!        (from an old paralegal)

They are persistent little suckers! I believe I have been getting their calls b/c I recently added my name to the phone book, but only my First Initial, Last Name. Each time they call they ask for Antoine _____, certainly the right first letter, but not my first name. My guess is they are trying to track people down to collect.

My phone rang twice, then they hung up before anybody could answer. First time I've noticed that they've called. I do have my number listed on the National Do Not Call Registry, so I rarely get unsolicited calls... also, even though I live in California, I am 12 hours from the 714 area code! Not very local!

I got a call from this number stating LOCAL OFFICE.  Normally I don't pick up but for some reason I did this time without looking at who was calling.  They were trying to fax something to my cell phone!  They tried twice!
