At first, I thought I was the only one having this suspicion about NILICO, but I'm glad I found websites like this one that other people had felt the same way I did.  I received a phone call from Cesar twice and from Cindy twice.  They called a 5th time with no message and when I called the number Cesar gave me, I only got answering machine many times without anyone picking up.  None of them doesn't seem to know a lot about public transportation either.  Cesar always said "I'm sorry" like he hadn't been paying attention half the time when he talked to me.

i got a call today from the same number... national income was the company name. the girl was very nice but did not mention anything about what the position involved. she only stated it was a supervisor position. i told her i did not want any sales position she then assured me it did not involve sales, but since i saw this website, i will not go. i will not waste my time. thank you everyone for posting your thoughts and opinions.

i just got a call from this company national income. they offered me a position as a supervisor, i didn't really understood what kind of business they do, and yeah is most likely a scam.  i don't have any experience in this field , my field in medical and they insisted i have all the qualifications they look for.  I am so desperate for a job, and people like this just waste of your time and energy, good thing i google this number, don't let this scammers fool you.

Thank you to everyone for helping me to not waste my time. First a Valentina calls me and says the same song and dance about Monster and my resume. My phone hangs up on them(its a cell) and she sends me an annoyed message back saying I didn't have to hang up on her.  Frantically I call them back because it's around 5:30 so I figure they must be clearing out of their office soon. I get her "assistant" on the phone and schedule a meeting with her.  When I get there, it seems like someone spent decent money on the place; so far, so good. I tell the pleaseant receptionist that I'm there to interview with Valentina Maldonado and sit down to wait.  Some guy(also very pleaseant) comes and calls my name and says he's a general manager and was Valentina courteous on the phone. First red flag!!! Suddenly the "manager" with an "assistant" is a peon taking orders from Mr. Not Smooth enough To Trick this former Mortgage Broker!!! My old office was at the same building... So I'm told this is the preliminary interview(out of three) and if I'm liked they'll call me for the second but then low and behold I'm so special that he wanted to bypass that call and invite me to the second interview right then and there.  There in a room are the same poor unsuspecting [***] I was just in a waiting room feeling mildly superior to. This "GM" named Lavar Morgan then gives us the whole spiel on how big and great Nilico is and why we have never heard of them.  Some genius named Bernard Rapapport started American Income Life which is a real company.  The guy really is a revolutionary.  These guys at nilico seem to be snakes banking off american's good rep.  Of course they call me for the third and final interview to speak about everything one to one.  LOL, no more group setting?!?!  Why not, too many chances for logic to filter in.  Be careful people...

I just got off the phone with a woman named Kendisha at ex 1014. She explained how she got my resume off careerbuilder for a "management" position.  I was skeptical from the moment she started explain how the company works and how it was international, blah blah blah. I have my resume posted in the psychology field, I have no sales or management experience.  She also explained that there will be training provided. After doing some online research and coming across this site, I do not know if I should still go on the interview.

I got this call too.  Since I already had gotten calls from other scammers i checked first, since I got the call at 7:30, outside of the normal bus. hours.  Waddya know?  Within two minutes I knew that I would not be calling them back. The moment I hear the word insurance I delete.  It means "sales" and I will not go into that.

Did anyone go to the interview?

I don't know who they really are...but I would definitely look into all of the company names and numbers..

I have been reading some of these posts and I believe that the only person you can believe is yourself.  First I would like to address the former employees.  The reason you guys feel used is because you never committed yourself to the position, we cant be successful in something when we keep telling ourselves i cant go anywhere else so i am just going to stay here.  That causes resentment your better off giving 110% or nothing at all, when you give less than 110% effort you wont get the result you were looking for and will feel disappointed.  Nothing in life is a waste of time if anything you discovered that this position was not for YOU not everyone else.  Be considerate the unemployment rate is 9.5% that is ridiculously high and on this blog some of you are not even coming in for an interview because of what some disgruntled former employees and interviewees have said?  

Ask yourself if that makes sense?  Why aren't you asking yourself why yahoo and hot jobs ranked us again for 14 straight months as a top 100 company to work for? Why aren't you asking yourself why the Black Collegiate Assoc. ranked us at the top 30th company to work for?  Why aren't you asking yourself why Warren Buffet keeps investing in this company?

Now I can understand that receiving HR phone calls after 6pm can seem a bit shady.  But did you ever ask yourself maybe thats the only time one of our hard working recruiters can make it into the office to work to be able to put food on the table for their family?  Or maybe our office space is limited during the day so we have people work at night?  Or thinking about as a company we are willing to adjust work times so a person can at least have some sort of job?  If we all focus on the positive more we all can be successful.

Now regarding calling you up and stating you will be hired for a management position this is truly what we are looking to do.  But we are not "offering" this position to you we are "INTERVIEWING" you for a management position.  Once you make it through the process and you feel you want to be in management you get advanced training for management once you start working.  Not everyone will be able to survive in management and thats OK because associates make great livings too.  WE ALL NEED TO HUMBLE OURSELVES ALL THE TIME.  

This company humbled me a long time ago and I am grateful for that.  If I would of listened to all these blogs I never would of came in for an interview and given this company a shot.  WHY DONT YOU STOP FOLLOWING THESE PEOPLE and MAKE A DECISION FOR YOURSELF.  You might be throwing away one of the greatest opportunities that come into your life.

hey every one my name is atif and i work for this company the company is great i love my job unlike most of us i am act ually excited to go to work every day the people are great and the compensation is wonderfull on top of that you are your own boss you decide what days you want to work and which days you do not want to the reason people are calling it a scam is because they are ignorant one person started all of this he came in for an interview in jeans and expected to get hired (if it was a scam he would have been hired) since he got rejected he went online and started this whole thing im not telling you guys to listen to me im just saying go on the official websites to attain valuable information dont just go by anybodys words be smart about your decision and dont let it be influenced by others who wish they could get a job like this thanks for reading

I have a few questions.  
#1: Just the acronym NILICO; how come there isn't a word that goes with the letter O.  I can make out the other letters: National Income Life Insurance Company; but never said what word goes with the letter O.  What word goes with the letter O.  

#2: The correct number for NILICO in Flushing, NY is 718-888-9428, correct?  On the emails for people who are looking forward for an interview by the company, someone in the company wrote 781-888-9428.  Does anyone from NILICO take their time to proof read their emails to be sure everything's correct before sending the information out to the public?  

#3: Why only New York State gets the name NILICO and the rest of the nation gets AIL?      

#4: Why have three interviews in one day when one was clearly enough?  

#5: Why would employees from NILICO take their time to read and respond what people who would like to share their experience to others on this website?  Should you be more concern about your management and selling jobs instead?  

The point of these questions is: if NILICO's goal is to earn the trust of those who are going to the interview, should NILICO try harder to do a level of reforming how they do things internally before marketing themselves to the public, particularly to the umemployed and those who are considered senior citizens?  I will be more eager to hear from current workers and/or ex-employees.

I almost forgot to mention.  Has anyone notice AIL's videos in youtube?  They produced stories of how some of their employees had become successful in their company.  My problem is why have your videos be disabled for commentary?  Are you guys afraid of how the public would truly react to your business practices or do you refuse to accept criticism from people's views on how they think you want to improve yourselves?  I saw one of your videos that focuses on Jose Lopez.  Why is majority of the employees at AIL always mispronouncing Jose's name.  Jose is one of the most common names to hear worldwide any majority of AIL couldn't get that right.  That's very unprofessional of AIL to do.  No wonder a lot of people are disrespecting AIL and NILICO.

Completely shady.  I got a call today also.  Now that I think about it this is the second time they've called me about a "job interview".  Always try to pass themselves off as a legitimate "multi-billion dollar company" (with a $50 template website, makes sense right? www.nilife.com).  These [***] are a waste of energy and time.

This morning i received a call for a manager position as well and my qualifications do not match this position what so ever . i wasnt given much info but the number that appeared on my cell is 718-461-2809
BUT WHEN I WENT TO LOOK UP THE COMPANY .......... national income life showed up and the accurate address , i even got into a agrument with my girlfriend over me assuming she sent my resume to this company without proper research AND am so thankful i looked them up, WOW this is damage to all people looking for a job .

I received a call from that same number informing me how impressed they were with my resume and offered me a job.  An insurance company... impress with a resume with absolutely no prior experience in sales or the insurance business? wow.. I knew that something wasn't right
