Offering "free" magazines to try to trick people into becoming new clients. Sent the caller on a scavenger hunt.

From reading other posts, it seems Austin Graven is busy harassing many people besides us.  Don't answer calls from unrecognized names or numbers, but wish we could make these people go away.  They often call multiple times daily.  Whatever they're selling, we don't want any.

They're calling again. All calls from this number are ignored. They do not leave messages.

I called the 1-800 number, talked to the operator and had them remove my number from their call list. She was very professional and polite.

I work for a church. We don't have any magazine subscriptions. There is NEVER anyone on the other end to ask politely not to call back. When I answer and say my schpiel, they hang up. Maybe they realize they have reached the wrong number and hangup. Fine. JUST DELETE THIS WRONG NUMBER PLEASE!

Called and hung up.  Read other responses and would like to share another interesting theory that I just read on a tech site.  Your number has been sold from whoever and by answering the phone you are verifying that it is indeed a live number and the calls will continue.  Calling and asking that your name be removed makes you an even bigger target.  Basically its a no win situation.  If indeed these are legitimate calls then they should have a real id and there is no reason they don't leave a QUICK message stating the reason for the call. What are they hiding??  Shut off your answering machine when you are home or get a phone with a blocker-that's what I love about my cell-there's an app for that.

This "Austin Graven" has called me 2 times in two days.  I am physically handicapped, and have had to race to get to the phone just to have NO ONE say anything, and hang up on me when I say "Hello?  Hello?".  It is very annoying, not to mention I nearly fell today (3:11pm, 4/6/12) trying to get to the phone as I thought it might be my daughter!  I am on the Do Not Call list for the Federal Government, and have been for several years. It is quite apparent these folk do not check that list. I called this Austin Graven back today and the message said to give my number to be taken off their list.  I did, and let them know I never asked to be put ON their list!  I am also turning this number over to the Fed Do Not Call site for investigation. I hope you will investigate them as well....

I was put on thier Do Not Call list twice and they still call  frustrating

They call my cell phone twice daily for the past 2 weeks to which I do not answer. I'm sure they will finally give up.

These people call each day and never ever leave a message.  It makes us suspicious.

Please stop these calls. Harassment

On do not call list. Still get calls often. 719 219 3885 called today.

Austin Graven (phone reads Graven Austin) calls around the same time in the afternoon for a string of 2-3-4 days, then gives us a break for a while, then calls again in a few weeks with the same routine. I answered once but the person claimed to have called the wrong number. Now I do not answer; I just let the 'phone ring.  Is this a robo-call?  What do they want? This caller does not leave a message. Very strange.

I would like to be removed from this caller's list.  They must be up to no-good.

Dial 9 for the directory, enter a single digit and it lists the people in the directory with matching first names. It's fun.

I would love to talk to someone but receive 2 calls ad day -- both hang-ups

Again -- this is a business that does not receive ANY magazine subscriptions.

I would only register with the national do not call registry.

Well, you must have been one of the nicer ones calling...because when I do try to be nice and answer the phone, I am immediately hung up on as soon as I get the words out of my mouth "Thank you, but I am not interested".  In fact, I usually get a hang up dial tone when I say "Thank you, but".  So, it's not so SIMPLE as you suggest.....
