i just got a call on my office phone from this number. Caller says he is John Robert Richaud, Jr. and is looking for an attorney to help him get 600k back from his wife.  I heard screaming in the background the entire time. it sounded like he was calling from within a state penitentiary, honestly.  That would explain the inability to trace the number.  probably a prison pay phone. He said he got my name out of the bar directory.

well, then tell your boyfriend to stop calling me! j/k  

does that mean all calls on that number originate from AFG?

They are from Windows and I have a virus on my computer..............I hung up on them.......

Got a call from them around 2 pm today. The guy asked if I am from specific country and I said yes. He said go back to your country. I think this is racial profiling, a big enough crime that should not be ignored. I already complained fcc.gov. I am thinking of contacting FBI. I am not sure if these callers are running some racial profiling group.

Being on or reporting these numbers to the Do Not Call list is a waste of time. These people are not a legitimate business and have no fixed address or phone number. They are using robo dialing so it doesn’t matter if you’re unlisted and  they’re using VOIP so they can” spoof”  the number they are calling from. More than likely they are not even calling from this country or they’re calling from a prison or jail somewhere.  They are scammers who out for your financial information so they can rob you.  First of all never ever answer a number you don’t recognize. All that does is verify they called a “live” number. If it’s family, friends, or some other legitimate call they will leave a message and you can call back. It’s hard at first to ignore a ringing phone but it gets easier, trust me.  If curiosity gets you, Google the number and confirm it was a thief calling. Next, most phones allow you to “Save” the number to your directory. Do that and give it a name like “Spam” and then a sequential number if your phone won’t allow multiple entries with the same name. Then what I did was create a “Group” and the ring tone I created for that “Group” is 30 seconds of silence. I then add that entry to the “Group” I named “Junk Calls”. Now he can call as many times a day as he wants and I’m never bothered again. When I look at my phone later and see I missed a call I press “Details” and see it was a thief and know it was not something important.

Got this phone call and they said they were from a Government Grant and I had been awarded a $7250. government grant that I would not have to pay back.  He kept telling me that I had this grant and would be crazy to let it go.  It was awarded based on my credit, bills, timely payments, etc.  I told him that government grants have to be applied for and I knew that wasn't true.  He insisted that it was....I asked him for a website so that I could verify everything he was saying and he hung up on me.....dufus.  I am very familiar with how government grants are obtained, so this was a pretty stupid ploy.

I have been getting a lot of calls from this number.  I am located in Kansas, and caller ID says "Kansas Call." They are calling a business line and today for the first time I did not get hung up on.  I did, however, get a very nasty sick sexual innuendo.  He then hung up and when I tried to call the number back, I got a recording about my call not being correct.  Does anyone know how to identify whomever this is so I can report them and possibly stop them from calling multiple times a day?

Someone with a severe accent just called me from this number asking about how much credit do I owe and stating that he could help get out of debt.  He said his name was Stewart Blake which I believe to be untrue because of the severity of his accent.  I then asked him about where he's calling from and he said Texas.  I queried him futher by asking which city in Texas and he didn't know a Texas city to give.  Finally, he said he was from The World Law Group located in Austin.  According the The World Law Group's website, they are headquartered in D.C. with an associated relationship with Andrews Kurth, LLP in Austin, TX.  I informed the caller he was call me on a phone number registered on the 'Do Not Call' list and his call would result in a $10,000 fine.  At that point, he hung up.

I got 2 calls and then called back and its disconnected.

someone called and said they were from an alarm company.   When I told them we have an alarm, he asked if it was monitored.  I hung up the phone.

got call from this # said it was from Colorado i answered but they hung up i thought it was an old bf that i use have there (got all excited 4 nothing) also tried calling back it said the # cannot be completed as dialed

This number, along with 438-992-7207, has been associated with a telephone/western union scam in which they pretend to be a family member in need of money.

This scam did get me if someone could please help me get info on where this number goes to I would appreciate it lots they called saying it was a cousin who got in a wreck and needed money they knew all of our personal info

Your money is gone.  You won't get it back.  The scammers are not in the US.  They are in a foreign country that does not cooperate with US law enforcement.  

If the have your bank account number or credit card number contact the bank and get the numbers changed.

Got a call from this number at 10:34 at night.  Didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.

They've called three times today.

2:57, 4:11, and 1:15 AM. Seriously 1:15!? You're lucky I'm up late, RUDE. Either didn't answer the call, or by the time I did, they hung up.
