There are two ways to eliminate these unwanted calls.

    1.  There is a free APP on Android (Mr. Number).  This will limit all callers not on your contact list to
ring once and then go on the voice mail.

    2.  The newer home telephone systems (Mine is Panasonic) have a call blocking ability. You can block specific unwanted callers or all 800 callers if you wish.

Once your telephone is programed, there are no bothersome calls.

Call from a man with a very heavy "India" accent.  Said he was from Microsoft and our computer was pinging their company with a red flag for a worm intrusion.  I said, "my computer isn't even on.  I also had software to prevent worm & virus attacks."  He said he could fix the problem if I allowed him access to my computer!  I hung up on him!
I left complaints with BBB and Do Not Call.

They keep calling and telling me they are from Windows and that I need to turn on my computer.  I told them I was reporting them and calling the police.  They just keep giving me the run around.

Just got a call from this person(s). Said 'que paso, que quieres' as if they knew me. I'm assuming because my last name is Hispanic they tried talking to me in Spanish to get on my side, or something. They hung up as soon as I raised my voice asking who they were.

    LEGIT CALL

I've been receiving calls from this CO number since 01/07/12. I didn't know the number, so I looked it up here. After reading all the comments I continued to ignore the numerous calls I've been receiving from this number. Until...my boyfriend (currently deployed in AFG) called me yesterday from a USO number that came up as originating from VA. So, when this CO number called me tonight, I took a chance and answered. Guess who? Yup, my boyfriend calling from AFG with a perfect connection. Not all his calls come through on this number, and I hate VM so I never set mine up.

Someone said it early on, this has to be a VoIP.

This caller or company has my home and cell number.  They call every few days asking if I am interesting in a free home security system from GE for allowing them to put a sign in my yard.  I told them several times I have a security system company for which I am under contract.

    They still keep calling!  Frustrating!!!!!

Received a call from this phone number.  Came up as "Colorado" on my caller ID.  When I answered the phone, I received no response from the person on the other end.  Hung up & I tried calling the # back, but got a recording states the call can not be completed as dialed.  Probably some BS company!

First call was dead air space.  Second call, immediately after I hung up the phone, said he was Tom from  "Home protection services".  Told him I was on a no call list and hung up.

This is weird. I download a recipe application from Android Mkt named Sweet'N'Spicy (a collection of Indian recipes). The first time I opened it as it was loading I saw the GPS icon on my phone... I'm not kidding.. within 5 seconds I got a call from 720-708-1000. I didn't answer and immediately looked up the number and found all these complaints. I just opened the app again and the GPS icon on my phone flashes for about 2-3 seconds then disappears.

I'm guessing every time someone runs the app it sends location (among other info) to the person/ppl that wrote the app. I am going to delete this crap and post a review. In the end it's my fault for being stupid enough to give all those permissions when accepting the download.

I've been getting several calls each day from this number.  No one's ever on the line and it appears to be a spoofed caller ID.    Spoofing caller ID's is now a federal crime, and the FCC enforces it.  Judging from the number of complaints on this website for this number, we need to swamp the FCC with complaints about it.   It's really easy to file an online complaint with the FCC by going to their website:  fcc.gov/complaints  and clicking on the spoofed caller ID button.

Filing a complaint with DoNotCall.gov is a good idea, too.

Has anyone thought of giving them a taste of their own medicine? Well I knew of this scam cause they called a few times trying to represent different companies. I googled their number just as the rest of you reading my post. I seen how many of you are upset at these calls, so just give them what they want, start sharing information with them; but not your information. I gave them numbers to the Attorney General and FBI office stating this is my cell phone number, I gave them an addresses to the Local Police Department and Federal Court house stating this is our business address. I gave them fax numbers to my local phone company. If you can't fight them then send the fight to somone who can.

This caller is bugging me on my cell phone.  I won't answer because it appears to be spam and this is verified by googling the number.  I don't want them to continue calling me.  Thank you.
