This was a call about the City Bank card taht I do not nor have I ever had.

got the call from 740 368 0299 claim to be CitiMortgage. Fraud Fraud Fraud

My citibank mastercard was used by unknown person/persons for online purchases in the past two week and I had called to dispute the charges. This number was used to call me back to complete the fraud chagres. But between the time of the return call and now, as I was checking my caller ID and this number appeared as "unknown name", I had temporarily forgot about the call back to varify it was really me calling the credit card company.

I just got a call from them. Not sure, I didn't talk to them. My fiance did. But the weird thing is is it is Sunday night. Are they supposed to be calling on Sunday nights? I have not gotten a call from a creditor ever on a Sunday night. Also, I do not have a mortgage with CitiMortgage. When they call me I am going to have their heads turning in circles if they try to scam me. I had some one try to scam me before and I gave them a bunch of false information and when they asked me questions I said sure, ok yeah. But then they asked me for my SSN and I said forget it you a**holes and hung up. Got one more call from them and I told them exactly what i thought of them and where they could go and haven't heard from them for a couple years now :D

*I got a call from this number as well saying they were with Macys......I didn't like the way the call was going - they were asking me for my address and phone......

I received a call from this number 740-368-0299 on 12-6-11 at 11 am.  The guy said his name was Ritchie and he was looking for my mom's current address and phone number.  I told him I wasn't giving him any information for my mother.  I kept asking him what it was in regards to and he wouldn't answer.  He just left his name and this phone #  888-682-2793 for my mom to contact him.  I have never had anything like this before.  Does anyone know who I can contact to report it?

got a call from 740-368-0299 saying they're from citibank and that my debitcard "may have been compromised" and that they were calling me to let me know that they were 'closing' my account number and issuing me a new one and that I'd receive a new debitcard in 2 business days...
They didn't ask for any personal information (which I was waiting for) and I didn't give them any, but it was pretty strange; especially since I'm in California and the call originated somewheres back east.
Unfortunately (for them and me) I only have like $4 in my checking account.

i didn't pick up - the message i received was from citibank "fraud" department.... and to call the number on the back of my card....   I called and they said they never called - no false charges were made to my account, etc.......

Just got a call from this number and they left a voicemail.  I didn't pick up because I do not know anyone from area code 740.  I also do NOT have any mortgages!

I received a call from 740-368-0299, from a "Richie" from Citibank (Indian accent). He was requesting contact information for a relative, claimed he got my contact information from my relative's loan application (um, interesting). He would not say why he was calling, even if I was a co-borrower on this purported loan application. He provided 888-682-2793 as a call back number. I asked he remove me from whatever list it is that I am on and he said he would. I did not call back the 888#.

Female called and asked for "Michael"... this is a large company she called and I asked her if she knew the last name.  She then asked for Michael or Debbie somebody... never heard of them.  Told her there was no one here by that name and she thanked me and hung up the phone.  I think they were "fishing".

Received a call from this number 740-368-0299. I answered my cell phone, but no one answer on the other end of the line. I am reporting this number for invading my privacy and must stop right now....!!!

I received a call from this # 1st on home phone then immediaetly after on cell phone. I do not know who or why they called...Citigroup. Leave me the hell alone!

This is Citibank, and were calling because my card was flagged for fraud alert. Without verifying information, as I was already frustrated of why my card was being declined during my online purchase, he verified the amount I was trying to charge, and released the hold.

It's not a scam guys... and as a reminder, when they ask you for your password, they're not referring to your login password, but your account password that you normally use to authorize information released over the phone.

Yeah, it's Citi..they're skip-tracing for people that owe them $$.  When I said "who?", they repeated the name and then I said "have you got the right number?"...they said sorry to bother you and hung up.  I think I know who they're looking for as they likely put down my number as a reference or a family member, really not that hard to find these days.  Due to privacy, they won't divulge much.
