The caller claimed that he represents a company called Hydro Bill Saver helping people to save on their Hydro Bill and that they are every where.

I just got a call at about 12:10 am Eastern time from this number and they said they were a "radio show" and I had just won tickets to the Paramount and it sounded just like when you call in on a radio show, there were like 3 guys talking and laughing in the background. WEIIIRRD..and then they hung up on me? wtf?!

Today July 29, 2011 I answered such a call, against better judgement as the call number was unknown. It is a scam artist soliciting the area I live at. Some friends already had these scam "computer support"" calls. One person got stripped of $200 a feww for "helping". They tried the same with me stating that my computer was broadcasting bad stuff all over the world, they would "help" me. I said, is that so, where are you -  they could not answer. Some scam artists probably off shore. I called the number back and a recording stated there is no such number. So the number is a fraud (as are the people using it).

Have had such calls also. My friend got ripped off by them to the tune of $200 for "computer support", They gave their credit card number. I reprted it to the local police. (I was asked by them to do that - an elderly couple who got ripped off). Police contacted me and went to the people's house to fetch the information I printed out for them. No refund though. The number is a scam number, not a real number. I tried calling it a recording stating there is no such number.

I just had a call from that number from another Indian-accented person telling me I won all kinds of prizes from a form they claim I filled out at a shopping mall.  All I had to do was show up at a certain time at some adddress in Gurnee, IL to pick up my prize(s).  Address given in Gurnee was 1425 Tri-State Parkway, Suite #130.

This phone number is used by someone in Pakistan with collaboration from a person in Austin, Texas, to harass and intimidate me.  This has gone for over a year now and it must stop soon or I will report it to the FBI.  The person who is supporting this calls has also threatened to bomb my house.  He is a Pakistani living here in Austin and has no regards for the laws.

If you read in this message board the same telephone number is being used for may different scams. Personally I tested the number, there is a recording that the number is not in service. So the police have little to go on with just that number but they (police) may have other investigative options available. I had a call from them (that number) today and they wanted to fix my computer. They have purchased phone lists or something as they even have the name of the owner of a particilar phone number. Good luck, report all that as soon as you can.

i recieved a call from this number, i asked who it was and they said it was so and so, and asked me if I wanted to [***]! I said what? and they repeated the above statement 2x before i hung up on them

We have had a crank phone call from this number.  The person seems to know us.   sometimes this person calls from another number either late at night or early in the morning.

Please block these calling me.

I did not know who call me.  They were plain rude.  They were yelling expletives.  I hung up.

This SOB keeps calling when I am not home and tells my other half that he is calling from computers canada and they detected a problem with the computer. He has been told to call when I am in but he never does.  I would like to grab his scrawny neck and sqeeze it til he chokes or worse.

I find it unlikely you would have searched for this number on this site then. More likely you are one of the scammers or a Google employee trying to legitimize Google's new spammer friendly service.

This number 1-760-705-8888 called saying that I had won a bonus for my cellular phone and he was asking personal questions, which I did NOT answer for sure, Called my cellular company and the had no idea what I was talking about.

ce numero appel disant etre le service de credit pour Bell mobilité, disant que j,avais gagne un bonus et il a commencer a me demander des droles de questions, je lui demande vous etes pas capable d'ouvrir mon dossier avec le numero de cellulaire, il reponds non, et la il me demande mon NAS alors ca ma mis la puce a l'oreille je lui redemande ouvre le dossier avec les info que vous avez, je nme suis mis a lui demander le numero du service a la clientele IL NE L'AVAIT MEME PAS.........FRAUDE

Just got 4 calls in a row on my land line...Didn't pick up because I was on the line. After reading everyone's comments, I'm glad I didn't pick up. It just seemed suspicious.

This number called me and they knew my name and stuff and asked for my postal code, saying they were from my phone service provider ( which they got right O.o wtf ??? ) and I had been selected for whatever...How did they even know my name and phone service provider ??!

This number calls regularly, but no one ever speaks.
You can have numbers blocked through your service
provider. I no longer get angry, I get then blocked!

So I work at a game store and a cranker using this Google Voice deal asked if we had any puzzles that "would be good for a 31 year old's birthday... and as a weapon... to kill someone with."  Got the feeling he might've been recording the call.  Also, there were ambient noises in the background that sounded like he was at a waterfront area or shipping docks (like the staccato "booop booop" of ship or truck horns).  Said he was from a New England city (Worcester) about an hour from our store, so he knows Massachusetts, anyway.

Made me laugh, at any rate.
